Dexy and Trinity are coming up on their 2nd birthdays! I can hardly believe it's already been 2 years since I became a ferrant. It's been one heck of an emotional rollercoaster ride. Lots of sleepless nights, lots of worry, lots of mini-heart attacks, but also some of the happiest times of my life. Becoming a ferrant was one of the best decisions I've ever made and I would not trade the last 2 years of my life for the world. Trinity most of all is becoming a little mama's girl. She LOVES being near me, being held by me, and just nosing around in whatever I'm doing. Dexy and Faeryn are bestest buddies and don't pay much attention to me, but Trinity.. she is my baby. Last night I reconnected with an old friend on facebook and for an hour and a half or so, she laid calmly in my lap while we chatted. Normally if I want to snuggle, I just pick her up and she lets me snuggle her. She's never just laid on my lap like this before so it was really awesome. Doubly awesome that she would lay in my lap and that I got to reconnect with an old friend. She's such a sweetheart, and I love her to bits.

White ferrets ARE stunning looking. Keep in mind however, that DEW's(dark eyed whites) are frequently deaf, and although this in itself causes no problems, they can also be biters as they don't cue in to verbal stimulation and warnings, either from you or from their friends. My ferrets had a method that worked well with Lucrezia when we first got her. She'd bite too hard, and they'd simply ignore her. To the extent they'd leave a room when she entered it. Until she started moderating her behaviour
