i live in vermont and in my backyard i could step into canada. i am almost as far northwest as you can get in vermont and very close to the canadian border.

I'm not sure what the postage would be for that cage, but I've heard some really good feedback for that one

That's very similar to the ferret nation but be aware you will have to put something on the floors and ledges to prevent damage to your ferret's feet. It doesn't appear to have shelves to cover the meshing

It looks more like a Feisty Ferret cage. You'd have to remove the bottom grate and, like, Heather said, affix something to the second story floor and the shelves and ramps. Plus, only half of the front is a door; the Ferret Nation opens completely. Honestly, by the time you're done modifying that one, it probably wouldn't be any cheaper, and definitely not as convenient as a Ferret Nation.

I would also personally recommend avoiding the plastic tub-style cages (like the Living World one) for ferrets. They're not bad for a temporary or travel cage, but really cleaning it usually means having to detach and lift the wire top off and drag the tub around.

its a really great heavy duty cage, I like this one over the FN cage because it is lower to the ground so our guys hop in and out of it all the time without having to use a ramp. My cage needs more beds and such but I plan on getting some from wherever when I get paid...
and we also use the lock on water and food dishes... As for litter boxes we use just your basic square plastic cat pan and it works great for ours.
