Okay so I have a ball pit from ferret.com that my fuzzies adore. The problem? 3 out of my 5 are chewers! 
The balls that the pit came with are almost like a rubbery plastic, and can be chewed very easily. I have had to throw out multiple balls when I found they had been flattened and chewed on.
Baine has an OBSESSION with anything rubbery. We had to rush him to the emergency vet once when he had a potential blockage. He just will not leave the current balls alone!
Since they love it so much, I want to keep the idea but get different balls. I was thinking that ping pong balls would be perfect! However, my boyfriend insists that they would shatter and hurt the fuzzies if they tried to chew on them.
I would think that the ping pong balls are big enough so that they wouldn't be able to get their mouths around them. So even if they tried to bite the ball, would their teeth not just slide right off?
Some opinions/help would be greatly appreciated!
