Ive been taking Alfie outside a little but each evening. Every time he gets scared and tries to crawl up my leg so I can save him ( I know he's scared, but it's SOO cute). Until, last night.
Last night I got home past my normal bed-time and Alfie was staring at me, so I let him out. He went crazy! I've never seen him with so much energy! So, to try and wear off some of it I decided to take him outside. He loved it! He kept snorkeling in the leaves and I think he caught the scent of the squirrel that lives under the house. He only got scared once when he heard the car door, but I calmed him down and then he was fine. Ah! It was so cute. I'll have to take pictures once he's done being so alert when he's out there.
I was so proud and excited for him!
But.
We had to pause play time like three times because he kept getting partly out of his harness. He can't be let loose for sure out there, but I want him to be able to play.
Any harness recommendations? I like the looks of some I saw on etsy, but they're a little spendy if they don't work out. He's not that big, but he's certainly not little. His Marshall's harness isn't long enough for me to make it snug and for him to still be able to walk. I leave it loose, but after a little bit he has it around his waist like a belt! Suggestions please!
Even with the harness problems, it was a great end to and otherwise horrible day <3

So glad he's finally decided outside is fun! As for harnesses, with ANY of them, never let your ferret back up in them. They can generally slip almost anything that way :-/

I've never found a harness yet that doesn't allow them to get out (generally in reverse) ...what it does allow is for you to have enough time to catch them Watch the little bums though, they're fast ciao
