I won't say you will see a weight gain (those meds and the stress of getting them often negates that) but you should be seeing some improvement by now. I would call the vet and discuss with him/her your observations. I personally would have thought you would see some improvement by now

Thanks Heather! I did just that this morning, and my vet said she thinks it may take more than a week for me to see changes, and she says that looser stools may simply be a reaction to amoxil, not necessarily indicating something else is back just yet... She agreed to try and take Lyla off the ranitidine, but keep her on the metro... so that's one meds less... We'll see if it makes her less stressed about the whole situation...  |

She's right....any of those meds can have loose stools as a side effect. Even the stress can create it too. It's so hard  . Good luck, I hope you see some progress soo ciao |
