Naughty little Willow! She saw a hand, and hadn't yet started associating hands with good things. My own fault!

So... okay.. she does not like olive oil LOL!! She took no interest in it at all! Anywhoooo.. I was able to pat her head! But that was she was in the cage and just woken up.. She seems drowsy.. maybe thats why she let me? When shes out of the cage playing and about, ohhh yeshhh she still bites the heck out of me. It seems she does not like to be handled.. She could be thinking everytime i wanna pick her up, im about to throw he back into the cage or sumfing. She loves to jump on me though, that is definitely a good sign that she isnt afraid of me and just wants to play. Got 5 minutes of her sniffing me and sitting on my lap yesterday before she jumps down and goes terrorising something else in the house. But still no love with the patting and handling when shes out just yet ~

Might I suggest something....and I know this will be really difficult. At the moment, just talk to her, handle her as little as possible. If she bites you put her in her cage but when you take her out ignore her. Let her come to you. I found putting a harness and a bell on Lady Morgain helped because then I knew exactly where she was. Does she eat meat?....freeze dried? Slice up little tiny bits if she does. Offer her little bits but don't touch her. I know this appears at the moment to be counter productive and it does take a long time to make friends...but it works in the long run. I got wee Lady Morgain on Mother's day. I can now handle her without being bit. Try this, handle her when you must but as little as possible. Play with her but with cat toys or blankets, towels. No real hand contact, give her time, space. I know she wants to play and she plays hard...give her something to play with instead of your hands. Create a friendship. That's what you really want. ciao

[/img]
She is indeed a stubborn little one!! hahaha I agree with her being cute too! And sometimes when she starts being naughty and i raise my voice a little this is what i get: naughty little brat! Might I suggest something....and I know this will be really difficult. At the moment, just talk to her, handle her as little as possible. If she bites you put her in her cage but when you take her out ignore her. Let her come to you. That's what you really want. ciao I am indeed trying a great many things sweetie! hahahahah~ She does not eat meat yet, i have just made her normal soupies before this. Nothing fancy. But i was planning to get some meat this weekend when i do some grocery shopping. Am not sure what is good to start off with yet tho. Since she has not gotten any raw meat before this. Only soupies by the breeder. We also have a problem. I do have a harness for her, but how will i get it on her without being bitten? lol! I even tried putting the collar on, she wont let me :-/ it could also sometimes be my fault.. i have seem to developed some sort of inferior emotion when shes close to me >.< No one is able to fix me just yet lol. Sierra has tons of toys.. And not to mention numerous balls with bells in them. They are all laying around the house now lol. But yep i have been handling her with a piece of fleece sometimes. Yep i know it will take time hehe.. Im being as patient as i can atm Ill see how it goes after i get some meat! Yay~ Sweetie.. how does freeze dried meat looks like~

Another thing I've found is a wonderful bonding / interaction activity to make them like you is training! I use a dropper bottle like this: www.amazon.com/Japonesque-Dropper-Bottle/dp/B000J242TE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1349286611&sr=8-1&keywords=japonesque+dropperI fill it with oils that my ferrets like and give them a drop or two as a reward when training. I like this kind of bottle because I can move the bottle around and the oil won't drip out until you squeeze it Unlike the Ferretone bottles, which WILL drip or drizzle if you hold them the wrong way and move them around... I found out the hard way, I got a lot of drips of Ferretone on my carpet or on the ferrets back when I was training with those bottles ;D Once they learn a trick, my ferrets look forward to practicing the trick to get a treat, it's wonderful because they will come up to you and pay attention to you and engage you, wanting to interact. One of my ferrets, Finn, when he wants to perform his tricks, will actually come over and look up at and gently paw at my foot to get my attention wanting to do tricks Sometimes if I don't respond to his pawing right away he will repeat it and add a couple licks or gently put his teeth on me ;D "Hey look down here! I want attention!!"
