Made the decision to downsize my group. Daisy has been a bit of a pain with the kids for a while. She likes to intimidate or something. She is very fiesty. Anyway, the kids have been refusing to go into the ferret room because they are afraid of her. So I thought long and hard about what was going to be the best answer for everyone. I met up with some people who have been wanting to get ferrets for a while, and were interested in raw feeding. After talking to them and then thinking it over, we decided that Daisy and Buddy would go live with them. Buddy took to Daisy right away when she came to live with us. It was love at first sight. I didn't want Daisy to go alone and I was afraid of what may happen to Buddy if she went to live someplace else without him. So we are a five ferret family again.

that's always a hard decision to make, but it sounds like you found a good home for Daisy and Buddy. Will you be able to keep updated on them?

Yes, they said they would definitely keep in touch, and will contact me with any raw feeding questions. I also told them to come here for information, so we may have some more new members.

Aww, I'm sorry that the group wasn't working well - ferts can be such stubborn characters! I'm glad, though, that everything sounds like it ended up working out for the best for your family and Daisy+Buddy

I struggled with the same situation earlier this year. I hope it turns out for you as wonderfully as it did for me, my family, and the ferrets.
