I use Advantage for kittens. 1 drop per each pound of weight. Put it between the shoulder blades. it works very well. Stay away from essential oils. Including peppermint, tea tree oil. Wash all bedding in hot water with white vinegar and water.

Hi I use frontline ( spray for puppies and kittens ) 1 spray per pound across shoulder blades it is water proof and works well its available from your vet and a bottle lasts an age ! ( has a good shelf life of 2 years or more ) its good on ticks/mites too I have used it for years with no problems you can even use it on newborn kittens and puppies ! hope this helps take care bye for now Bev
This thread is from a month ago, but I do have something to add. For fleas you can use advantage kitten, but I use revolution cat 5-15 lbs. I chose this product after reading published articles. The company has come out saying that if you want heartworm preventative for your ferrets, the revolution 5-15 lb cat dose has been proven effective. And to my knowledge it is the only one.
Noah and I go hiking a lot and although the prevalence of mosquitoes with heartworm in New England isn't great, a single worm is enough to kill a ferret. It's also labeled for ear mites. Noah had ear mites when I found him, and after being properly treated, he hasn't gotten anymore.
