So this is my first post (I was on the old holistic ferret sight but only read posts, never posted myself) let me start by saying that I work at a humane society which is actually really great with animals but for whatever reason there is an old rule preventing the adoption of ferrets, therefore I have pretty much adopted them all myself ;D I have 5 who are all on raw, are VERY energetic and love to get into trouble. (hunter 1 year, Mara 6 months, tread 2ish years, Charlie 3 years and Gwen 2ish years) they're in 2 attached ferret nations and in 2 months will be moved into a new house and they'll get the whole master bedroom on the front on the house to themselves do it's safe to say they're spoild! ;D... Roughly a Month ago I acquired my 6th fur ball Sadie (I'm confident she spent most of her first years in a cage with how skinny and poor muscle massed she is, and has never been with other ferrets before) and no matter how hard I try she screams even if one of my boys just goes to lay beside her or walk by her- i was hoping it would get better but it hasn't (I'm sure it doesn't help that charlie isn't fully accepting of her ether but hes getting there ) For the most part she is OK with the females but she just seems to tolerate them in her space and doesn't actually seem to like them- I'm not sure how to make this better or if she would just be better as an only ferret? I've never come across something like this before, can a ferret actually be happier as an only child? She also will have nothing to do with anything raw (no matter how many scruff and stuffs) any advice on how to make this work? I'll try anything at this point.
