Cottontail was 6 years old. A Netherland Dwarf. She had contracted breast cancer. We helped her and Momo cross yesterday. I just had to find where my favorite picture of her was hiding.
She was so tiny when we brought her home. Very sweet and always enjoyed having a roommate. Her hind legs would often have muscle spasms sending her flying out of our arm. Often resulting in a bloody nose and lots of rules about holding her over soft surfaces. As other bunnies came and crossed quickly, she stuck with us through the years. We are truly going to miss our sweet girl.

Losing Momo was bad enough, but to have to help two across on the same day? 
she died of egg binding just three weeks ago. And the week before last i came home to find my sweet Wendy had passed on the cage floor, most likely a stroke.
