About 3 months ago a stray my mom had noticed in the neighborhood for a month collapsed on her porch in the middle of a heat wave. She took her in and asked if I wanted her a week later. I said sure if you pay for everything she needs sure. Her cat isn't fond of her and the dogs wouldn't leave her alone so she had to stay in the bedroom. I said get her vet checked first to make sure she's ok and not going to pass anything to the fuzz. She wasn't ok at all in fact if a certain didnt come back ok they were going to put her down right away. She was severely dehydrated but wasn't as bad as they thought and she made it the night on iv drip. Another test came back positive for a rare deadly blood parasite. She stayed another 2 nights on iv drip and meds and I took her home. She was on pred (to increase appetite and strength) and antibiotics for a month. They were pills and she HATED it and would pee herself at first. She doesn't like the ferrets but doesnt hunt them she just stays out of the way. She's estimated 7 yo so she mostly sleeps. Anyway here's Jasmine Sent from my SCH-M828C using proboards

So Sweet! She looks almost identical to Miss Kitty - one of the neighborhood stray cats that adopted US ;D She comes up to our door every night wanting in, but I am VERY allergic to cats and can't let her be a house cat like she wants even though I LOVE cats She even seems to be sweet on my babies even though at first she would look through the windows on our doors and eyeball them like they were dinner Even though I can't keep her I buy special food for her and feed her at the door I really want to take her to the vet cause she has a good bit of discharge in her eyes, but I can never find her during the day when they are open but I do have a spare carrier I bought for her on the off chance she comes up to me during the day!

The vet says she is might be full siamese (byb type I'm sure) she has the characteristic siamese cross eyes and personality. Very talkative cat. She mostly talks about her food. She's mostly Jays cat, probably because I was the one who gave her meds. They found out from a next door neighbor the people got evicted and all the strictly indoor cats got out. Three that the know of. The people left food and a cage trying to catch them but never did and stopped coming back. The neighbor tried calling them but it was disconnected. She was chipped at the vet when checked but given her circumstances and us saving her life we decided it would be best she stays in my family. Her vetting was around $600 for her 3 night stay, meds and checkup. We figured if the people got evicted and the phone was off....They didn't need this sick kitty. So we never contacted the chip company with her number and my email. m285.photobucket.com/albumview/albums/WeLoveOurWeasels/Snapbucket/5A70EAE3-orig.jpg.html?o=1&newest=1m285.photobucket.com/albumview/albums/WeLoveOurWeasels/Snapbucket/49FB3B64-orig.jpg.html?o=2&newest=1Sent from my SCH-M828C using proboards

She's lovely I'm glad she's got a good home finally. I cannot believe those idiots who let all there indoor cats out. Because no way all three escaped! Actually.... it can happen, happened to us. We were staying at a friend's, our camper was parked on their property for a few days. Cats were in camper, we were in the house visiting for a few hours. Door on camper was not quite latched all the way and our little sh** head Merlin decided to open the door and go exploring. 1, possibly 2 other cats followed him outside. Mind you this was in rural Maine and their property is all deep woods with bears and coyotes and fisher cats and a dangerous road people in cars fly down. We found Merlin within 100 feet of the camper hiding undersomething and shaking while the coyotes howled away into the night a few miles distant. Spirit was in the camper when we got back. Raven we never recovered, though we saw her for a couple of months living on the property, our friends left food out for her (they had indoor/outdoor cats of their own.) We would call for hours and hours in the woods. Neighbors would report sightings. Eventually she just vanished, probably a meal for some predator. She was always the wildest of our cats, was never very comfortable with people and very skittish. Poor girl.
