Oh, Darlene....I had hoped that you would be able to get things controlled. His healing candle is lit. When are you planning to do the surgery? ciao

d*mn, two prolapse surgeries on the same day for two different ferrets. Mind you Wilma is just going in for a purse string stitch (hopefully). My best wishes to Koby and hopefully Wilma's surgery goes well to.

When are you planning to do the surgery? ciao I will see what the vet says tomorrow...........surgery isn't scheduled yet,I'm really struggling whether to do it or not. This is the first time I'm conflicted about a surgery. Thanks for Kobys healing candle.

My best wishes to Koby and hopefully Wilma's surgery goes well to. Sorry I gave the impression that Koby is having surgery,I'm just going to talk to the vet to see where we go now. Sorry that Wilma is having problems,I hope the purse string will work for her. She'll do just fine with the surgery, doesn't take long to do. I will be thinking of you both tomorrow. Make sure you let us know how it goes.

I'm going to read your switching thread bitbyter, love good news Well Kobys vet visit went as I expected,we will have to do surgery. There is no other choice, but I am feeling much better about it after talking to Ian . Ian hasn't done this type of surgery before only surgeries involving the colon inside the body. But he did say that once a month they have a surgeon come in to do complicated surgeries. So Ian is going to talk to him about Koby tomorrow. So if this guy can do the surgery, the surgery will be done this weekend. I should know tomorrow,I'm hoping this surgeon can do it and I can afford him.

Thanks Heather I will. Poor Koby hasn't been feeling to perky the last couple of weeks I think he's had enough of his butt feeling bad. I will be posting how everything goes bitbyter I'm very happy your little girl didn't need to have surgery . Hopefully the antibiotics help her and she has no other issues with it.

I couldn't believe in Minion's change of attitude. He went from being over the top nasty and sleeping. Note sore bum. all the time to happy fuzz (video) ciao .

Thanks Sherry. Heather the pic of Minions bum is that before his surgery? Koby's bum looks like that, his prolaspe is out more now than it's in. He's not happy,he sleeps all the time,he's not my happy go lucky boy and I miss that,so does Jayla. The video is so sweet, what an adorable guy ;D I pray we have the same success that you've had with Minion.

That one of his bum was taken right after (or at least a bit after his treatment). He was ripping the daylights out of the flea (better the flea than my hands). He always ripped into things after his treatment. He hated those so much. They had to hurt. By that point his prolapse wasn't going in at all, though it was receeding a bit after each treatment, within half an hour or so it had extended it's full length. ciao

Yesterday Koby went in to have his surgery done. The surgery went great ,Koby did excellent with the anesthesia, gas wasn't used this time for reasons I can't remember Considering this is the first time my vet had done this type of surgery on such a small patient,he was thrilled that it went so smoothly He also said that the piece he took out looks like a tumor to him,so we'll see what the results are. Koby is very perky, but a little weak in the back end,I figure he's most likely a little sore. Right now he's running around.....has a lot of energy to burn off ;D I'll be putting him back in his cage soon. Heather I have to ask,did you restrict Minion at all with his activity?
