We can help switch the pickiest of ferret's if you are willing to put in the work involved i would greatly appreciate that. However, I'd like a little more information on it. I know the benefits are outstanding, but is it ever too late to start a ferret on the raw diet? For example, when I had rescued my eldest ferret, Bean, she was on Cat Chow and using Tidy Cat litter. It took a while for her body to adjust to a good kibble (no by-products, corn etc.) As for the triplets, they were all just fine adjusting to the brand they're on now. But once I tried to change them to an ultra premium food, their bellies couldn't handle the switch. I kept them on the food for over two months, and their stool was always runny and sticky looking. So now, they're back on the original food, but they have the 'seedy" stool from the plant based proteins that are within the food-which isn't many. They just have sensitive tummies I suppose. And as I've said before, they didn't touch the tuna, egg, or chicken, so I'm fearful they won't eat raw.

It's never too late I think even the oldest of ferrets can benefit from a raw diet. My kids also had bad stools on quality kibble (EVO) but with raw I can completely customize their diet to fit their needs. I can add some pumpkin or bone to firm up stools, or less of they're constipated. I can change the protein if there is an allergic/sensitivity. Kibbles have a bunch of other ingredients they could have been reacting too. No worries about that with raw

Jackie's right. If it turns out one of the proteins was contributing to the problem, you simply leave that protein off the menu And they didn't touch the meats you offered because they didn't realize it was actually food. My oldest switch was 4-5. Heather's was 9yrs old.
