so today for the first time, I added maybee 1/2 tsp purée chicken to 2.5 oz jar of turkey baby food, 2.5 oz oz jar of chicken baby food and a 2.5oz jar of water. she won't touch it. I put some on my finger, she licked it off but is now acting like I have poisoned her. (gagging and pawing at her mouth) now she has a belly ache. she is a little bloated. I think she got to stressed out to much. she has not had a chance to get into anything. she has only been on baby food because last time I tried raw, she had a minor stress out . stools a a little loose due to the change in diet. just started adding bone meal to her food today. should I let her just sleep it off or is their something I can give her? she was fine until I added the purée chicken. she dosnt act as if it hurts her, just a tiny bit uncomfortable.

I would possibly add a different protein source to see if she's reacting to the chicken. It may sound silly but sometimes ones body reacts differently to raw vs cooked. She may have a sensitivity to the raw. The other thing to remember is that you're going to see everything, because she has no fur. That full belly might indeed be the same full belly that you see when other ferrets switch but because she's naked (basically) you're going to see it worse. As she was so malnourished to begin with, I'm going to say that her body may need to adjust to the raw. The gagging, spitting and behaving like you poisoned her....that's normal ciao

If the vet suggests metro, I'd try talking him into giving a different one. This girl is stressed enough without fighting her over that as well.
