Thanks for the info. It's always a balancing act with ferrets. If I do this will it make things worse. If I don't do this what chances are there for him to continue a good quality of life. That's the deal isn't it....a good quality of life. Fun-Go has been on pred for about a year now (will be a year in Feb) for insulinoma. He's not at the highest level for the pred (I enquired about what the max would be and what the time line might be, he's about half way) Fun-Go would never be happy just existing (I don't think that's fair either) He still plays and eats on his own (he's supplemented twice a day when he gets his pred) He's not near as active as he used to be but he has really good days and days where he's not feeling as good. His pred belly gets in the way (I noticed this when the Christmas tree came upstairs to be decorated....he didn't climb it this year, he just sat underneath it looking up at it). You know how sick or old all the fuzzies are, when no one finds it worth it to climb the Christmas tree Thanks again, I've not had much experience with insulinoma. I guess that's not a bad deal really.....over 30 ferrets only 1 with insulinoma. Poor Fun-Go, he didn't deserve this though ciao
