Ah interesting Heather. Thanks. I tried Lard licks but my boys didn't take to it. I did mix some lard into their soupies though and never experienced any bad poops. I used a few teaspoons of it per batch of soup at most. As for the size of a soup batch...Bullet Blender tall-sized cup....maybe 16-20 ounces?

I had better luck with butter ;D, my guys love that but I used it as a laxative, not to put on weight. I would be more inclined to take the coarse fat off steaks, the yellow fat from under the chicken skins (ultimate to put weight on...grind up the pope's nose or chicken tails) That puts weight on so fast. ciao

When I need to put weight on mine I syringe feed them 1 teaspoon goats milk twice a day along with making sure the ferret in need also gets offered more skin and fat.ine love beef drippings
