Hey SO Recently I found some ear mites in my little fuzzies. it was particularly bad in Fox. So I went and bought this Ear mite remedy from PEtco which i really dislike btw. but just stopped on my way home for a different reason at the time. Anyways!!!! I had asked some mentors on here what they had thought about this stuff "Excel" ear mite remedy and Sherry happened to show me a link to a video which led me to a website that is based on peoples pets who have died or gotten sick from flea and tick shampoos and products. So I googled Home Remedies for Ear Mites Found this site www.grandmashomeremedies.com/ear-mites.htmlI know when ever I have had an ear infection my mom always put oil and vinegar? or rubbing alcohol in my ear. and it worked. so This site says for cats, but I assume it would work for ferrets as well. I am going to try this tomorrow with my fuzz, been treating everyone because i noticed they all had a some. not as bad as Fox though. poor guy. Anyways.... let me know if any of you have ever tried this or maybe if you have tried different methods. Thanks!!! <3

I would suggest that you don't use straight vinegar or rubbing alcohol in any furchilds ears unless you want to find out how fast they can hang from the ceiling or bite you ....Pour any of those things on an open cut or a split in the skin and think about your reaction....mites bite leaving tiny open sores....you can use olive oil and let them shake out the excess if you want to try that. They will bounce around enough with that ciao
