She was a pretty wee thing, but it was her attitude, her demeanor and her continuous health issues that marked her as a Waardenburg fuzz. She also had the weirdest shed from baby fuzz to adult that I've ever seen in a ferret. Her brief life brought love and a lot of smiles to those that read about her (she was so drastically different from her siblings) ciao

Thanks guys I guess I just get paranoid with all the talk and then you start seeing symptoms because you've read so much about it LOL. Compared to my others he just seems...different. Maybe they're just tiny WS or not he will always be my prince

I think Otterwoman's ferret Milkdud is a WB ferret. but i believe he has had no health issues. he's such a cutie pie! Milky is a very handsome boy and he's Sonny's best friend.

Health issues seem to go with the package but not necessarily (there is a warning that a shortened lifespan is the norm). What I find heartbreaking is it's often hidden issues...heart and lymphoma that takes these gentle wee ones. Things that sneak up on you, that unlike adrenal, often don't have symptoms until it's too late ciao

I to have noticed that lymphoma is common in waardenburgs. Rob did not have any heart issues. he was healthy VERY healthy and happy until oct 7th. i don't like it but it happens and its sad but true.

My Lily is a WS ferret as is my little Shady. Lily is a healthy little 4 year old girl now. Shady is too young to tell yet. Just cause they are blazes and panda's, does that mean they have WS? Cause all of my ferrets are blazes or pandas.

No....just like saying that because your wee one is a deafy it means that they have Waardenburgs. No, it doesn't mean that all blazes and pandas are...they're just prone ciao

Not even sure if it's that blazes and pandas are more prone to being WS. More of WS are more prone to being blaze/panda. If you know what I mean by the difference
