I have calculated the cost of some raw providers and found that ordering online, for a 16 week supply of food for two ferrets was the most affordable option. Does anyone have a rough idea how large a freezer would be needed to house 4 months of raw food for two ferrets? (52lbs of food)

Hubby said one of those small chest freezers would be more than enough. Mind you they are a pill to dig into. My daughter has mine. We need it too because all my ferret food is in the freezer drawer of our fridge. Never had an upright. I get about 7 frozen guinea pigs from Hare Today. When i order the weight has to be at least 10 lbs to ship. They were a drop in a bucket in our little freezer.

I've wondered about freezer space for orders like that, myself.

I planned on doing grinds and whole organs as I don’t think I could get myself to feed an actual whole specimen. So basically would be 18, 2lb buckets of grinds and a 2lb bucket of heart and 1 pound each of two other organs (liver and other) as well as some necks and gizzards. So basically I’d be storing lots and lots of buckets ha

Mine has that step up inside and also the basket too. It does not have the little knob on front at bottom--- something we got on craigslist a few years back. Where Best Buy's says 33 8/9--- mine is 33.5 Where Best Buys says 21 8/9---mine is 23.5
Probably just style in inch difference
