I need to ask- what are you referring to when you say "cookies"? I don't imagine you mean the human variety?

Yep, going back through, pork so far is the only thing that has successfully stayed in the kitty's belly aside from the organs. It looks like grinds weren't much of an issue in the past either, though. I guess we'll find out when the HT order gets here.
When feeding my organ meals, do I still offer the same amount? Ie, if I offer the boys 3oz typically per feeding, would I do 3oz of just heart for the heart meal?
Can I combine eggs into those organ meals? I did that the other day and it was quite successful. But if I do that, I measure out their correct quantity of organ first into the bowl, and the egg is just added on top of that, right? It doesn't count as part of the 3 oz I'd offer, right?

The only time he's lucky enough to get human cookies is if there's a crumb on the floor we don't know about until he's suspiciously lurking in a weird spot!

Hare Today order arrived! Why is something so small, so expensive?! These quail, without opening the package and really investigating, look TINY. I'm pretty sure the mouse that Bananey caught last week was bigger than the quail in the package...$12 for 4 itty bitty things! The boys are gonna think it's an appetizer!

Kitty- if grinds stay down then that may be what you have to do. Let me check with a couple of people who feed whole chunks to their kitties though (mine eat grinds). And yep- now you know why I said half or whole quail depending lol. Thanks for clarifying about the cookies

Kitty, not terrible. We added beef grind, which she's not thrilled about (it's a coarse grind, oops). She kept attempt 1 down, I'll find out in a few minutes about her dinner! If it works I'll just need one more protein added in, so fingers crossed.
Weasels doing ok. Rabbit is a favorite! The dehydrated things don't look like the photos at all. They look like just chunks. They looked more like a slim Jim in the photos. I'm sure they'll eat them, though.
Peter's belly has been acting up. Been finicky about eating. Not as much grinding the teeth, poop looks good color if a little "dry" for him. I caught him chewing on an n-bone earlier this past week and I am sure that's what set him off. No idea where it came from, it was almost a year old...how it got missed cleaning (or by the others, for that matter) I have no idea. But seriously, of all things to eat, he picks that?! Friday and yesterday he was finally starting to look like he was sleeping comfortably again so I think we're getting there.

Beef grind stays down!! Yay!!! I have updated weights etc from today that I'll post tomorrow. I'm working in the morning tomorrow so will be a later post. Wanted to tonight, but tried to spend some time with Mike and just relax and have us time tonight. It was going nicely, til I got out of the shower to find Peter crashing :-( got a good amount of food into him, hoping that won't cause an issue in another hour...he just tucked himself into his bed and I've gotta be up for work in 5 hours soooo...happy Monday? Sigh.

for kitty stay with what you are doing For Peter, what level pred is he on again? And talking to the vet about adding in diazoxide might not be a bad idea to help increase his bg and keep it stable.

Kitty is doing well with the grind and even consuming most of the bone. Yay! It's going to be a rough day, but I do still have updated weights from Sunday.
We set Peter free, this morning. He was ready, and he went peacefully surrounded by us and his doctor that he loved. We had been using diazoxide already, honestly we probably had room to go up a bit more but meds were tough to give for him. But he told me loud and clear, and I had to respect that. He got to snack on some chocolate chips as we went on his last field trip, and even though he wasn't eating much the last couple of days he sure was excited about that treat <3 my heart is broken, but he is no longer suffering.

I'll jump on the computer with weights updates. I've got all this weird extra time on my hands sooo. This is the first time since 2014 I haven't had to give daily meds Kitty puked yesterday afternoon. I knew it was bound to happen, she cleaned up Peters leftovers probably as soon as we left the house with him yesterday morning, so stuffed her belly with his treats. Dumb cat. Otherwise she'd been good, and even eating the bones in the grind.

Alright, sounds good. And I fully understand what you mean by the extra time. When Suki had her thrombosis, a good deal of time was spent with her on water therapy, floor therapy, getting her used to her wheels for added movement and hind end training, meds etc. That easily took up an hour to two hours a day depending. When we had to help her cross due to the facial tumour there was all this empty time.

Okay. Weights from Sunday.
Monday: 682g Tink: 643g Dean: 1138g Sam: 1158g
The girls are not gaining...they've actually dropped some. Activity wise, they are in good shape and they do eat, but are leaving some. I'm not sure if it's just them not being hungry, or being picky, or what.
The boys are scarfing whatever I give them, so when I re-portion everything I may add either a 3rd meal or add some grinds to what they already have portioned for meals. I portioned a lot of things last week in advance. The boys have baggies of 3oz, the girls have baggies of 1.5oz. Each pair splits their baggies. We've cheated the last few days with beef grind or S&C chicken, but we're ready to get back in action.
