Hi all, just a quick update on the baby's and mums. Everyone is doing great from what I can tell, even bear has started to get a bit nippy so I don't really get much time to look but so far so good. Another question, I think I've read somewhere that the baby's will change colour, is that right or not, at the moment the are all white I think lol

Hi yes they will change colour first into baby coats then as they grow they will develop there true color if they are a light silvery grey then they will be ordinary polecats if there is a cross running across the shoulders and down the back you are looking at silvers if dark grey they are dark polecats if white they are either albinos or dark eyed whites (the eye color will determine this if black they are dew if red bino) a sandy kit is obvious the legs will take on a brown color as will its mask this is going to be a real experiance for you lol take care bye for now Bev p.s mum being nippy is normal she is saying back off these are my babies lol

I'm so glad that everything is going well Mom's developing attitude is totally normal. I'm envious of wee jills that decide that everything their humans do with their litters is ok by them. I didn't have one of those lol. Poley meepers Baby coat What they become Juveniles Adult (winter) ciao

Thank you for your replies. Vic got me tonight my first ever bite where they lock on wow they hurt, I just wasn't quick enough, I feel like a rabbit fearing for my life every time she looks at my lol. I can't wait to see the colours, mum is pole cat colour and dad is a sandy, vic is very light poley and bear is darkish. Heather they are so sweet, I can't wait to watch them grow and develop and I no I'm not going to want to get rid of any, but I can't keep all of them ( can I ) haha. All bear does is eat and eat and eat and eat £££££££££ and lots of hunting trips after work, I've been out and brought a new freezer to put in my shed because the wife wasn't happy with all the extra food in the one in the kitchen. Vic in the other hand has a bigger litter from what I can tell and she has stopped eating meat, she will take a bit of chicken from time to time all she will eat is kibble. Thank you again

Hmm, I can't help with what she should be eating kibble wise or amounts. I"m guessing that it's ok. Mom's do pick weird ideas about what to eat. Lady Lola wanted no whole meats just soupy (more like thick chowder or stew). I didn't use kibbles so can't help you there. Yes, your describing how Lady Lola decided her meals should come to her....lots and fast and yes, you learn to be really quick on the draw with your fingers. I found allowing Lola some exercise (in a couple of weeks) allowed me to properly check on the litter, do some weigh ins and such. As soon as those wee meepers started making a lot of noise though....she was back and an avenging Valkyrie had nothing on her....don't mess with the meepers ciao

Lol oh yes Lee those teeth can hurt lol if she is refusing chunks of meat try giving her mince meat and stick it on a plate close to her nesting area I often find they simply dont want to eat because it would mean less nursing time with there babies they want something they can woof down fast and get back to the job of feeding sounds to me like you are going to get a mix of colors lol rainbow babies I call them bit of this and bit of that or bitsas lol I know a few of mine when I put the plate just outside the hole would carry on nursing and simply stretch there heads and eat while laying down lol take care bye for now Bev
