Hello everyone! My partner and I might be looking to get a new baby. Our current babies have been healthy and strong and are from David Holden (supplies Nature Pet Store). Our babies are about 3pounds, healthy and energetic. We are looking for our third. We are considering another baby from Nature pet store as they seem very well cared for and the employees have been so kind and knowledgable. But we want to keep an open eye. Two questions for you: - I love big babies. Is it possible to obtain a new baby in the USA near Quebec for about 500$ CAD? - how can I integrate my new baby but keep him wanting human cuddles? When we integrated tidbit he became more interested in hanging out with Casper than us. I was super sad! We do have two cages and I was thinking of keeping the new baby in a seperate cage next to the other. That way they can smell each other without dominance fighting (tidbit was so tiny and kept getting dragged around and I'm worried that this might have affected him in his play). The baby from Nature is about 8-12 weeks and have tiny teeth. I wouldn't want him hurt or scarred mentally. Any and all help welcomed ))) thank you!

As for breeders, Holden is a mill like Marshall's or any of the others(just an FYI). Most of us have had very bad experiences health wise as they appear to be very prone to insulinoma and respiratory issues, given they originally came from RC stock. Most of the pet stores in Alberta refuse to carry his ferrets as too many were lost to sicknesses as kits after getting them. As for reputable breeders, I am not sure of the pricing. It is natural for kits to be "taught their place" by adults. As long as baby is coming back for more I'd not worry. If however he is being traumatized wait until he is at least 12-14 weeks old. And once they get over the newness of having a new friend they still search their people out for snuggles

Angoras....Pam VanOverloop and Plump Stephani come to mind. Stephani runs Middle Earth Ferretry and Pam runs PVO ferrets. As for costs, that you will have to discuss with them. Both are US based. ciao
