Body shape looks good, I don't see anything that is extra concerning.
I would like to see him eating 70 grams (2 ounces) or more daily so within 24 hours. While soup may not be all nutritional because of the water, he may be getting full but will get hungrier faster.
Be sure to always leave food out for him. Even overnight or during the day. If you cannot leave food out, dog, cat etc may eat it then he should be eating at least every 6 hours, preferable to every 4 hours. Some ferrets are grazer, eating bites here and there throughout the day, other are gorgers, eating as much as possibly during meal time but always having food out ensures that he can eat when hungry. When I was doing soupies, I would just defrost a cube at a time and replace every 6 hours morning and night, sometimes mixing old with new to give a fresher flavor if they didn't eat most of the last cube.
Sounds like you are doing well though. Just try to get him to eat more if you can.

That's perfect, how is he doing on eating bones? Have you given him any bone in? If not, no worries, lets work on him eating different meats and then getting him back onto big chunks.
Can you get me a picture of the soup mix the next time you feed? Visuals help me know what we are working with.

He's really great at eating bone-in chicken wings! He can eat basically anything chicken, organs, bone etc.. so we're just going back for other meats. (Beef right now, but hope to add more types before this mix is up because we kinda made more into mix than may have been necessary..) Yesterday he ate 110 g of the soup and also snacked on a chicken wing a little bit (the bone tips mostly, so definitely some bone/marrow in there, but not a ton) The meat looks like this! This is a mini bowl, not full size by any means. Pretty soupy, but not entirely liquid. He does eat the bigger chunks out too (and sometimes try to store them) but this isn't a very chunky bowl-full of it. He's made it to the long strip phase too, just not with beef muscle meat for whatever reason (he did with beef liver OK.)

Ate a lot yesterday—about 150g, plus the same amount of wing!

Wasn't able to get an exact measurement for yesterday but it was in the same vein as the last two days, though less I believe (going to estimate 50-90 grams?) No eating issues, just napped in really late so and played a lot before first eating so he couldn't eat as much.

Combined 90 g soupie, 50 g chicken wing including bone (about half of one) for yesterday plus the day before. It seems like he doesn't want to waste time eating when he has playing he could do unless prompted a lot of the time.

Gah!!! I'm so sorry. I had a crazy week! I'm back. Thank you so much for continuing to check in!
Sounds like he's eating nicely! Is he still being promoted to ear or will he eat on his own? If he would rather play than eat that's fine just make sure he's eating at some point during the day! Lol!
Are you still upping the chunks of meat in his soup?
It's great that he's still eating bone and organs! You are doing wonderfully with him.

Thank you!! I am going to be upping the chunks now! Ended up making almost all the meat we had into the soupie, so we had way too much when we could have moved on, oops! He will eat this totally on his own now, and even ate something new mixed into it today with no issues! (But not alone yet!) What I added today was a mix of ground beef and 2 new meats.

Awesome! Sounds like amazing progress! I've done that before too, where I make to much of something and now they are stuck eating it.... I bought too many hearts the other day so I have like 50 pounds in my freezer. LOL!

FINALLY through with that mix! I added some ground meat to it near the end, and he ate it just fine regardless. 25t was a 'meatloaf mix' of beef and lamb.) He's now eating that on it's own with a bit of water mushed in just fine! He's also got a chicken wing in there, but seems to be lazy about the work of chewing when he's given the choice.. I have been less vigilant with amounts than I'd like. It's been between 70-125 g a day though, and I have it written down, I'm just confused by my own 'organization' of numbers mixed together on the sheet and it's hard to sort and add up. (shy)

Ferrets are notoriously lazy! Given the choice they will always eat the easier meal. But as long as he's still accepting bone then I think we can let him be lazy right now. Just keep giving him a chicken wing eve now then, maybe over night to let him work on it by himself without the mix.
His amounts sound really good and I'm happy with them. Lets start increasing the size of his chunks in his soup and get him off of the mushy stuff. The same you did with the chicken will work with the beef and lamb.
Has he eaten organs completely by themselves yet?

Not completely, but he has eaten them in lone chunks in a meal with other meat types too, so I definitely think it won't be too hard to do. I'm glad to hear about the amounts!!! Over night tonight he just has a chicken wing so I'll see how that goes!
