Can you add a bone in meat on Tuesday pm? Just because hearts make runny dark poop a bone in meal will keep his poops formed after that Frog legs are very lean so could you replace that with a chicken wing instead? Tuesdays replacement can be a mouse too? Or a neck or something

Repost your menu again the new new one please You have run out of heart, how much taurine supplement should your ferrets get? (be specific) List 2 good sources of taurine. How can you tell if your ferret is getting too much or too little bone? List 3 sources of edible bone. In an emergency (you run out of bone), what are 2 acceptable bone substitutes and how much should your ferrets get? (be speficic) Are cooked bones safe to feed? What counts as a different protein source? List 3. List 3 organs aside from liver. Organs should consist of approximately how much liver, and how much "other" organ? What percent of the diet should be organ? Give 2 examples each of muscle meat, edible bones, and organs. Are gizzards a muscle meat, or an organ? Is it a good idea to mix muscle meat, bone in and organs all in one meal. Explain why. How can you tell if your ferret is too fat? How can you tell if your ferret is too skinny? What is a Normal Fasting Blood Glucose level? How often on average does a ferret need to eat? About how long is a ferret's digestion time? Why is cooking meat generally considered inadvisable? How long does each type of meat generally stay good: raw soup, ground meat, med-large chunks, bone-in meats, whole prey? True or False: It is best to give my ferrets meals and put the food away when they are done. (Explain why) Be thorough, take your time. Make sure to not look anything up and we will discuss what you missed

You have run out of heart, how much taurine supplement should your ferrets get? (be specific)Ferrets need 500mg of taurine List 2 good sources of taurine. Heart & Beef Tongue
How can you tell if your ferret is getting too much or too little bone? Getting to much can cause them to bind up (not poop) im not to sure on telling if they are not getting enough though List 3 sources of edible bone. (be speficic)one I actually have which is KAL Bone Meal Powder.. as for another im not to sure Are cooked bones safe to feed? NO!!!! cooked bones splinter and can cause serious harm
What counts as a different protein source? List 3. Beef Chicken Pork
List 3 organs aside from liver. Heart Spleen Brain
Organs should consist of approximately how much liver, and how much "other" organ? 1/2 liver 1/4 other organ What percent of the diet should be organ? 10%

Are gizzards a muscle meat, or an organ? its actually both Is it a good idea to mix muscle meat, bone in and organs all in one meal. Explain why.
How can you tell if your ferret is too fat? im not to sure other then weighing him How can you tell if your ferret is too skinny? not to sure other then weighing him What is a Normal Fasting Blood Glucose level? i believe 8 hours is humans... not to sure on our little furry critrers How often on average does a ferret need to eat? I believe its every 4 to 6 hours About how long is a ferret's digestion time? 4 hours
Why is cooking meat generally considered inadvisable? cooking meat takes out valuable nutrients How long does each type of meat generally stay good: raw soup, ground meat, med-large chunks, bone-in meats, whole prey? True or False: It is best to give my ferrets meals and put the food away when they are done. (Explain why) im honestly not sure here o.o

You have run out of heart, how much taurine supplement should your ferrets get? (be specific) Ferrets need 500mg of taurine YES, THIS IS CORRECT. REMEMBER TO FEED 250 MG IN THE MORNING FEEDING AND FEEDING 250 MG FOR NIGHT TIME FEEDING AS WELL. THIS SHOULD NOT BE A REPLACEMENT SUPPLEMENT IT IS JUST FOR EMERGENCIES.
List 2 good sources of taurine. Heart & Beef Tongue
How can you tell if your ferret is getting too much or too little bone? Getting to much can cause them to bind up (not poop) im not to sure on telling if they are not getting enough though YES, TOO MUCH BONE CAN MAKE YOUR FERRET CONSTIPATED. TOO LITTLE BONE WILL ACTUALLY CREATE VERY RUNNY/SOFT STOOLS.
List 3 sources of edible bone. Turkey Neck Chicken wing Mouse
In an emergency (you run out of bone), what are 2 acceptable bone substitutes and how much should your ferrets get? (be speficic) one I actually have which is KAL Bone Meal Powder.. as for another im not to sure YES, BONE MEAL POWDER IS A GOOD SUBSTITUTE. SO IS EGG SHELL. FOR EVERY 10 OZ OF OF MEAT YOUR FERRET SHOULD GET BETWEEN 1/2 AND 3/4 TSP. IF POOPS ARE TOO SOFT ON 1/2 A TSP OF EGG SHELL OR BONE MEAL YOU CAN UP IT TO 3/4 TSP.
Are cooked bones safe to feed? NO!!!! cooked bones splinter and can cause serious harm
What counts as a different protein source? List 3. Beef Chicken Pork
List 3 organs aside from liver. Heart Spleen Brain
Organs should consist of approximately how much liver, and how much "other" organ? 1/2 liver 1/4 other organ 5% LIVER 5% OTHER ORGAN
What percent of the diet should be organ? 10%
Give 2 examples each of muscle meat, edible bones, and organs. Muscle meat Beef stew meat Gizzard
Edible bones Turkey neck Chicken wing
Organ Liver Kidney
Are gizzards a muscle meat, or an organ? its actually both TECHNICALLY FOR RAW FEEDING PURPOSES GIZZARDS ARE JUST A MUSCLE MEAT. Is it a good idea to mix muscle meat, bone in and organs all in one meal. Explain why. NO IT IS NOT GOOD TO MIX THOSE ALL TOGETHER. IT'S BETTER TO SEPERATE THEM INTO MEALS. YOU DON'T WANT YOUR FERRET TO PICK AND CHOOSE HIS FAVORITES AND NOT EAT THE PARTS. IT CAN CAUSE A DEFICIENCY. How can you tell if your ferret is too fat? im not to sure other then weighing him A FERRET THAT IS TOO FAT WILL HAVE A ROUND BELLY. A FERRET IN PERFECT WEIGHT IS TUBULAR. WHAT YOU DO IS YOU SCRUFF THEM AND DANGLE THEM SO THEIR FEET DON'T TOUCH THE GROUND. IF TUBULAR THEY ARE IN PERFECT WEIGHT IF ROUNDED (THEIR BELLY) THEY ARE FAT LOL How can you tell if your ferret is too skinny? not to sure other then weighing him FERRETS THAT ARE TOO SKINNY IF YOU DANGLE THEM AND THEY HAVE AN HOUR GLASS FIGURE THEY ARE TOO SKINNY. What is a Normal Fasting Blood Glucose level? i believe 8 hours is humans... not to sure on our little furry critrers SO A NORMAL FASTING BLOOD GLUCOSE IS BETWEEN 90 TO 120. YOU FAST THE FERRET FOR 3 HOURS AND THEN DO THE TEST. How often on average does a ferret need to eat?
I believe its every 4 to 6 hours SO IT DEPENDS ON THE FERRET OF COURSE. RAW FED FERRETS GET FED TWICE A DAY. BUT ENOUGH FOOD TO LAST TILL THE NEXT FEEDING. MINE TYPICALLY MUNCH WHEN THEY FIRST GET FOOD AND ABOUT 4 TO 6 HOURS AFTER. SO YES. About how long is a ferret's digestion time? 4 hours
Why is cooking meat generally considered inadvisable? cooking meat takes out valuable nutrients YES, VITAMIN A AND TAURINE ARE BOTH DESTROYED BY HEAT AND I AM SURE OTHERS AS WELL. How long does each type of meat generally stay good: raw soup, ground meat, med-large chunks, bone-in meats, whole prey? SOUPS: 6 TO 8 HOURS GROUND MEAT OR GRINDS: 8 TO 12 HOURS MED-LARGE CHUNKS: 10 TO 24 HOURS (THE LARGER THE CHUNK THE LONGER IT LASTS) BONE IN MEATS: 12 TO 24 HOURS (DEPENDING ON SIZE)
WHOLE PREY: UP TO 48 HOURS True or False: It is best to give my ferrets meals and put the food away when they are done. (Explain why) im honestly not sure here o.o FALSE, RAW MEAT LASTS A LOT LONGER THAN YOU WOULD THINK. FERRETS ALSO EAT AT DIFFERENT TIMES NOT BY OUR SCHEDULE IT IS GOOD TO HAVE FOOD OUT CONSTANTLY SO THEY CAN EAT WHEN THEY ARE HUNGRY.

For your turkey wings, what part of the wing are you feeding him? He's eating the whole neck too?

for the turkey wings I cut these up for him so that he can get the bone from it rather then shredding the meat. and he is eating the entire neck.

Let's add some beef to his turkey wings. Do half and half so it's not to bone heavy
