You should try lowering the food towards the plate every time they begin to eat it from your hand. Sounds like Moxie is being a princess. This should help her figure out that the plate gives her full access to food at all times, so she can show you how much she actually eats. Remember, most females don't eat very much. Bahahahahaha, Bella cracks me up! She's such a momma's girl! Keep it up and keep firm! You got this!

I think you've done fantastic. Females do tend to eat less. A girly eating 1.5oz is actually really good. I think the more you be persistence, the more she will open up to the new food~

@machan AftershockI have definitely been trying. This morning, after the quail bones, I offered part of a slightly mashed chicken wing bone and both girls gave it their best shot. Moxie, of course, spit out a couple bone fragments while chewing. She has still not figured out that bones are delicious. Bella, like Sealy 😉, is a bone hoover. Since Bella's got a belly, her butt was dirty, and I didn't want her to bathe alone 😂 First bath, don't mind the baby talk, ya hear?

Oh wow! Look at them munching down on their yums! Moxie seems to be deep in thought "How shall I consume this stuff...." hehe. I'm certain she will get the hang of it soon. I'm glad to see she's really into the food. They both appear to be doing so well~
Oh and they look so fluffy in the bath video. So much floof!

😂 They are rather floofy! And quail is a favorite. They get it virtually every morning (best bone in I can find right now) but they don't care.
I'm going to try to find a safe way to hang pieces from their cage to see if I can get them to eat the parts by themselves. I can't imagine these girls using their feet just yet (although I can't wait! So flippin' cute!)

Hoverfloof! Bahahahaha 😍 I got the idea from a video, someone had made a raft out of water bottles. My last two were not keen on water (partly because in my enthusiasm, I tossed them into Lake Washington, they did NOT thank me). I wanted a more gentle introduction to see if it would improve how they view water. We get hot here in the summer, sometimes heat waves in the 90's, and even though we use an a/c, I'd love it if they enjoyed the water because we also have a 3 foot pool.
Those hooks are exactly what I was thinking! Now to get them and teach them. 😎
I'm going to rework organ nights to include heart on Sundays. They do NOT like liver with no heart. Wednesdays are great, Friday's are ok but Sunday no one eats very much 😒 even the 🐱.
Tonight I'm going to try chicken wings again for dinner. Aside from one meal a week, all the bone in/muscle nights I've been choosing bones for exposure. Bella is starting to figure out that the meat on the bone is so much easier to chew off than the bone itself. Before, she'd walk away when she got to the meaty part. Now she eats darn near all of the leg with no hesitations. And a wing. Moxie ate all but a bite of the neck/spine today but not very much chopped. I STILL HAVEN'T REMEMBERED TO WEIGH THE PARTS DARN IT!!!!
