Today's appointment went great! Henry is as healthy as can be. He is very sleepy at the moment and is not to happy that the vet stuck a thermometer in his toosh. Also ever since that he's been wiping(dragging) his butt after he goes poop? All ferrets when they are done pooping wipe their butt in the floor. Completely normal

I've decided to wait to switch to raw/the soupie until I have a mentor but I do have everything for the soup and also a reliable source for different proteins.

At the moment Piper weighs 1 pound 12 ounces and Henry weighs 2 pounds and 11 ounces. He has definitely gained weight since being with us and overall seems much better. In his previous home i'm assuming he had never been on hardwood because his back legs seem to slip all the time. Not sure whether to be worried or not? How long does the mentor/switch usually take? There are 5 people in front of me. Should I be expecting to wait a couple months until I have one?

UPDATE: I will be starting them on soup in the next couple of days. I really don't want to wait any longer. I am thinking about using beef instead of chicken. Will keep updated on how they do on the beef soup.

Beef can be a hard one to start with due to its strong flavor, but that doesn't mean it cannot be successful. It may just take a little extra convincing at first. haha Have you tried it? If so, how did they do?
