Got Phoebe at beginning of summer (a 20 month old darling)who was rejected by all 3 ferrets in my house. All girls--maybe that says something. Things are so much better. It has taken this long for her to be able to maneuver about the house without getting attacked . My little blaze still tries to gives her the mean eye( face to face stare), which sends her running. Hubby said this morning that Phoebe returned the stare and blaze just walked off. No playing together, which may never be, as my Abbey who attacked my blaze as a baby does not engage play with her, but does find her as a worthy sleeping partner. Pulled them apart when things got bad then used hand to brush them away when they tried to latch onto her neck. It helped too that she is a good runner No one wanted to go in head first after her in the pvc pipe behind couch. l let her feed with one or two of them. They seemed not interested in attacking her at feeding time. She was a little aloof at first with this. Still a little bit with blaze around. It was something that helped them get use to her presence --- up close and personal(not that this will work with others). Because I broke down my cages into singles, have two drawers, and a suitcase, I could keep them in a room at night together. Everyone goes where they want to sleep.

Sounds like they are learning to tolerate her at least.
