I noticed that Layla's vulva are puffy. She is eating and drinking well, playing as usual, and I don't hear her strain when going potty. I'm in the process of moving, getting a job, and generally getting my life in order so there's no guarantee when I'll have the ability to get to the vet. She's currently fighting Sashi over a box and crinkly paper. imgur.com/kkubMn4

That is definitely adrenal Even if you can only get her in for monthly lupron for a while, the sooner the better as she will be more prone to infections with her vag slightly opened like that.

She's 2.5 years old. I'm checking it regularly and I'll be changing the bedding more. Looks like I can get to the vet next weekend.

Good luck. The sooner the adrenal is treated the less likely she will set up with secondary issues caused by adrenal ciao

After calling 10 vets to see if they had any DES implants in stock, I called my usual vet to get an implant ordered (should be here in less than a week). Its Suprelorin, but it'll do. The problem, though, is that he's going to Mexico to study something in a week and a half, so if the implant is late arriving, Layla will have to wait two more weeks (which would still be the same amount of time as if I went to another vet).
My vet trusts me enough to order the implant before a check-up, but all other vets in the area wanted to schedule an appointment for next week, get results from tests, THEN order the implant. So I think using my usual vet is the best bet, especially since I feel more secure letting him take care of my Layla-bug.

Excellent And she will feel much better after it is done! Even if she has to wait the extra two weeks she will still be good.

I thought DES was short for Deslorelin Implant, but I could be wrong.

They're one and the same so you're both right. DES = deslorin = superlorin or superlorin F. They're all the same thing. It becomes different in it's strength. 4.7 mg and the 9.4 mg. The 9.4 mg is commonly used in EU whereas in North America the 4.7mg is the commonly used ciao
