Loki is diagnosed with gallbladder stones just few days back.
He is 6.5 yrs old castrated male, insulinoma (on methylpred since Jan 1st 2016), adrenal (has implant since 27.10.2015.). He is being switched on raw since mid October, eating mix of chicken, rabbit, liver, hearts, bone meal powder and chunks of chicken or rabbit meat.
He presented signs of pain, lack of appetite, light coloured stools and moaning when pooping.
Blood test presented abnormally high liver enzymes (ALT, AST...), bilirubine, renal findings were also abnormal but most probably caused by dehydration (after 8 hours of IV fluids and daily administration of SQ fluids those improved). Day before yesterday we did ultrasound and x rays stones were found in his gallbladder being the cause of his problems. His diagnosis is cholecystitis.
He is currently on antibiotics, hepatoprotective, ipakitine, pred, sucralfate, ranitidinum and eats about 100 g raw mix daily (he weighs 1.1 kg).
Does anyone has experience with medicine which dissolves gallbladder stones - use in ferrets?
Thanks a lot in advance!

So, on 19th of January Loki had surgery and lot of black stones were removed from his gallbladder. I am still waiting for the report on their composition in order to try to establish their cause. He was put on antibiotics/analgetic/hepatoprotective/kidney, stomach and intestines protective and remained on Methylpred for 16 days, than we made one more full blood check and x rays. X rays came clean - no stones forming in gallbladder so far and blood test is much better for liver and kidney values, finally. He is healing well, eating well and acting almost like his old self - investigating, playing only a little bit, digging water bowls... We will have one more blood check and x ray in a month.
Thanks for positive thoughts
