Chili, 6 yrs old, castrated. He is one weird ferret ... I mean it. He was rescued from pet store where he and his girlfriend Pupa spent their first year and a half locked in filthy small cages. They needed quite a while that they learned to trust me as much that I was able to hold them. Sice Pupa is gone (two years - we have to euthanise her due to megaesophagus), he was really depressed ... He - since allways - hated other animals, but with time he learned co-living with cats and my "doggie". Due to adrenal (got imlant two, three months ago, only now few new hair turned on) and his weird apetite (some days he eats fine, other he is just barly eating - blood parameters including glucose are just fine) he is living in the house in an allways open cage. Iorek is one of the earless babies (he is brother of Natalia's Malak and Petra's Huritt). He is 1,5 yrs, castrated (is getting a des implant as a prevention this week). He is one happy weasel ... Allways dancing and bouncing around, trying to snorkel in every drop of water he can He lived with Chili for a while, but is much happier when he was moved in with Drdra & Gusztav in a ferret terrace since we are in a new house (from end of oktober). He is a jester of my pack, always doing something silly )

Drdra and Gusztav are both 7 months old now and they are my first ferrets from a breeder. They come from Budapest, Hungary. Drdra is from Diamond (Kendra) Ring kennel and Gusztav (Bacardi) is from Nostrofuretti ferretry. I have a breeding contract for both of them and wil definetly mate Gusztav (we are getting one more girl next summer). For Drdra ... haven't decide yet, but if I will, this definetly will not be in 2016. Drdra is a high % hybrid, her father is 1/2 polecat and 1/2 hybrid with m. sybirica, on mother side there are also quite some polecats too ... She is was she is expected to be. Stunning in looks and quite special in her behaviour. She is easly scared of new sounds, people, animals, ... and she needed quite some time to got fond on me. She is not near like ferrets, I have to treat her in a way different manner. I would say with respect and with patience. For sure there is an influence of the fact, that I got her quite "old" (for a hybrid), they were 3,5 months old when I got them. Anyway, for me she is a special little wood fairy and some of us ... well, need something to spice up our lives Drdra in her kit fur And now, in her fluffy winter fur Kit fur Winter fur Gusztav on the other hand is a dream ferret for most ferret owners. He is super socialized, also very good looking "little" man. He also has some polecats among ancestors, but despite in his look, you can't see it. At the moment he is a bit annoying and I will have to sepparate them soon as the hormons are kicking in ...

The last addiction to our ferret family - fresh, from wednesday ... is Vincent Vega. He is around 1,5 yrs. He was surrendered by the mom of his previous owner (who went to work abroad and didn't take him with) since she didn't have time to take care of him. They were one of those owners who actually kind of love their animals, but don't know what exactly they have at home and what a proper care is ... He was fed that horrible multicolour ferret food , but luckily also some meat ocasionaly. I am of course transitioning him to raw and today he eate his first bone(s) Two rabbit ribbs, but hey, you have to start somewhere ... He is a whole hobb at the moment, but will be "converted" to a V-hob in near future. Despite being fully in rut, he is the sweetest ferret ever. Can't say how he gets along with ferrets, since he is separated from the others until we get official parasitological results from the lab. He is a bit skinny at the moment and has badly broken both upper canines (honestly - when I took him, didn't check his teeth and don't know how old the injury is). He has a check up with a dentist arranged, but only after new year since she is booked before Well it does not seem to hurt him or bother and I am of course checking his mouth few times daily ... Ferret porn Marking everything ... chewing chunks of chicken So this is for today. Kitties and the dogy will follow.

Vincent skinny? I should get a prifile pic of Mogli. Do you know what Vincent weighs? He's beautiful. Drdra looks like an encyclopedia photo of a polecat. Just perfect. All of your fuzzies have lovely coats.

He had 1530 g on sat. or sunday. On his body structure and considering the time of the year he could easily had 300 g + and I would not call him fat ... Don't have any better pictures, since he is in winter fur too (tough his is corse and not shiny), but you can see that he is not exactly rounded.

The progress here: the hobs (Vega and Gusztav) now live together - I had to separate them from Iorek & Drdra, since they are both in full rut and to ruff for others. They get along super well. Vega is now on the same raw diet as everyone else, I just have to crush the bones and when organs are on the menue he is stil on soupies. He finally started to put on some weight, so far only 20 g. But is good for start, considering he changed the environment, he is livig outside, with another ferret (wich means he is more active) and that I changed his diet. In a following week Vega is going to be vasectomised, we have to manage his upper canines. Iorek is getting his preventive des implant and Chili will have a small lump (probably mastocitoma) removed from his flanks. Maybee for comparison - weight of others: - Gusztav 2090g - Iorek 1200g (he is really a small ferret) - Drdra 890 g - Chili - i will weight him this evening

Gorgeous little fuzzies! I do love the way polecat hybrids look, but I have heard many times they can be a challenging companion. And Vega looks a sweetie, glad he is getting along with Gusztav!

Drdra is high % hybrid (62,5% if all data is correct) and thre are polecats and sibirian polecats among ancestors ... Se would be quite a challenge and definetly not a dream ferret for most owners. I just like her the way she is. Compared to ferrets she is more shy, requires more patience but is much more agile than ferrets. I got her quite late (for hybrids) - she was 3,5 mths old. After a while she got fond of me - she seeks contact with me (when she wants), I can handle her (but with different aproach than others) and is ok around my other animals - except one of the cats (who is btw psycho, so I don't blame her ). Her sister on the other hand, wich her owner got at 8 weeks old is much more "docile" - she can sleep with her, takes her to walks, ... Well ... I would rather not do it with Drdra ) Gusztav is 27 and little something % polecat hybrid, but based on his character you wouldn't say it. But the fact is, that his grand grand father's line (who is supposed to be a 100% polecat) is from GB and you know how is in your country with these polecats ... They might be, or they might be just polecat coloured ferrets.

Hello maja01 You have a lovely bunch of fuzzies, my 5-7 year old hob Jasper who is entire has a weird appitite too and is also implanted for treatment for his adrenal disease just like Chilli does. I'd say that Gusztav has only a small amount of polecat in him, about 20% ish, Drdra on the other hand looks like she's got the amount of polecat that you say she has, they're all georgous though I have a pure polecat jill called Bandit and believe me, she defiantly lives up to her name. She was very dark as a kit and looked similar to a black self ferret, now that she's an adult she's got a little lighter but not much, in the summer she's very dark and in the winter she stays relatively dark but her mask changed quite a bit. Here's some photos of her, In her winter coat In her summer coat
