So many things have changed I have less time with our fuzzums so when I do get to sit with them I notice everything. Both businesses seem off but I feel it's from the move and they don't have their own room it's shared both cages are in the same room etc etc lots of things. Before the move we had to adopt out a few ferrets Smokey and bandit, ivy and renegade, casper d.I.p Newton 1 month before our move. Akiko is bonded to taz we picked them up October of last year. Within 3 months we took in the others. Akiko and taz were not adopted out taz is wardy and akiko is a bad biter plus ranger got bonded taz.
She never looked for them before we moved she pretty much acted the same. Tonight I blocked off all unsafe ferret areas and let her business have the house. Taz and ranger are playing hard she just walked the house then came back to me and laid in my arms when I picked her up. She is eating and pooping. Last night I was cleaning their cage she came all the way from the top hammock and got in my lap. She just let me pet her. May be she feels left out since taz and ranger have gotten closer or the move or their cage time? She is around 2 years old maybe younger.

She wasnt she always played with taz and ranger. Akiko passed sometime last night. Unknown cause there had to be an underlying problem. She was only 2 years old all of the other ferrets are their normal selves. May she dook in peace i loved my bitey akiko

I'm so sorry, poor wee mite. Are you going to get a necropsy done? The reason why she bit might indeed be related to her early death ciao

If we were still in fl I would have done a necropsy but I don't want the first thing I bring to a new vet to be a passed young ferret. She was buried in a flower bed this morning. I never thought the random biting could of had an underlying issue I just figured being around children before us she bit defensively and wasn't sure how to show her affection. She also did the licking then biting.
