Get some salmon oil and try her with that For the commercial raw, make it a bit wetter, but try to keep some texture in there. If she is taking that reasonably well, then start adding in some ground meat or slivers to increase the texture. Make the slivers the size of your pinkie crescent on your nail. Just put in two or three pieces for now, and see how she does. And when we start this, I am going to need you to post in every couple of days even if there is no change, so we can keep pushing her

Oh, I apologize, I thought you meant when she started eating the slivers. I'll be sure to get on here more often.
Codo was not pleased with the salmon oil, so I am not sure what to do about that.
But my mom picked up chicken hearts and liver...yum. She will eat around it if she can so I try to mash it all together and usually she gets most of it. She won't eat it without having the nature's variety in there though.
I remember there being a form I should fill out each day but I can't remember where that is. Could you direct me toward that?

I might as well do this now,
1. Ferret's name: Codo 2. Ferret's weight: 626g 3. Ferret has eaten "X" amount on average per meal. She normally ends up eating most of the food by the time I get home, and then I give her a little bit since she sometimes likes to eat at night 4. Stools on various proteins. They have always been sort of darker, I guess it might just be the food...they are like chocolate colored 5. Activity levels: She's super active now, she actually acts like a ferret lol 6. Weekly menu: 1 nv medallion, some stella and cheweys and around a tablespoon of hearts and livers all mixed up

She is really liking the hearts, livers not so much. She choose the hearts first over the stella and chewey's today

That is excellent With the liver/other organ you may find you need to puree it and feed it like a soup. I still have to do that with some of mine. How is she doing with other slivers besides heart?

Fantastic news :boing: ! So- she is eating heart on it's own, and liver on it's own then? Is she still getting commercial raw and what kinds and how much? Is she getting slivers of muscle meats, what kind? Are they still being mixed in with the commercial raw?

Unfortunately poops were not so good when I checked this morning, sort of dry like. Does this mean vet trip is needed or that she needs something else nutritionally that I am not getting? She still gets the commercial stuff but I was thinking to decrease that and start replacing with muscle meats, I'll have to see what my mom finds

If the poops are getting dry and crumbly that just means she needs a bit less bone than another ferret is all So for her final diet where another may need the 9-10 bone meals a week, she will likely need only 7. And adding in more muscle meat slivers is a good idea to start her transitioning.

Alright, so we have beef sirloin steak and liver, chicken breast, heart, and liver now, being a vegetarian I do not know much about meats I have to leave it to my mom, lol. Tomorrow I get to cut it all up and portion it out, this is taking some getting used to
