Everyone, I brought Beo in for his blood work yesterday. At his appointment, she took his weight again and he gained 38 grams from his last appointment a week or two ago , and is now at 988 grams (my tiny little guy..). The vet called me a few minutes ago with results. She stated that his blood protein levels are high, which puts lymphoma back on the list of possibilities, and possibly a ferret coronavirus which she stated there is a lot of controversy as to the existence of that, with some other possibilities as well. She recommended putting him on prednisone in addition to his doxycycline and baytril to see if he improves over the next 3-7 days. However at this point I honestly have no idea what sort of improvement to look for, as he is gaining weight (as stated above), playing, and hasn't been coughing. She also stated that all the exotic vets she spoke with are stumped, and she is going to post his details on some veterinary forums tonight to see if there are any additional ideas.. Boy this is frustrating!!

Glad he is feeling better and gaining weight at least. And hopefully you get some answers.
