My ferret Guts is very itchy, like always, but when I picked him up to take him out of his cage he started chattering his teeth, it sounded like one of these toys Or when someone chatters their teeth when they were cold. It only lasted a few seconds, but it worries me. He's been playing like normal, eating and drinking like normal. Does anyone know what's going on?

How much is he shivering when he does this?

He wasn't shivering at all. Just chattering.

How is he eating, drinking, activity levels, etc? It could be tooth grinding which would indicate pain/nausea. Any instances of him stopping and staring into space for more than 5 seconds or so? How are his stools? Basically it could be a lot of things, but without more info it would be really hard to guess. If any of the above are an issue best to take him in and have him seen.

I don't think it's tooth grinding. I've seen a video of a ferret griding her teeth. His poop seems a little grainy, but I think it's because he was licking soap yesterday.
And stopping to stare into space? I thought ferrets do that normally, but he doesn't do it for 5 seconds.

It might would be helpful to see a video of that. I have never tried to do a video, so I could not tell you how to do it.
