Hi, I'm hoping you guys can put my mind at ease! Up until Sunday I had two ferrets, a boy n a girl both 2-3. My boy dips was diagnosed with lymphoma on Friday and although he's still active now the vets warned me that I need to prepare whoever is looking after him while I'm away (off to oz for 3 weeks in 4 weeks) that they may need to bring him in. Not only am I worried bout him but also my girl binks. If the worst happens she would be no doubt feel abandoned n pine. I've seen that happen to a previous fuzz but I was here n got him through it. So on the advise of my local rescue I went n got two more, another girl and boy (Eli n ebbi). Everything's been fine, typical dominance fighting but nothing to worry about, no blood, poop or pee. Everyone's getting along. the only thing I've noticed is binks isn't eating as much. Is this her stressing over the change? It's been 5 days now n she's not eaten a full meal. I try n hand feed her n she eats a bit then wants to squirrel the rest away. She's been the alpha over dips since getting her but ebbi is giving her a run for her money so I'm wondering if that's upsetting her? Any advise would be great! Thanks!

Try using some RR (rescue remedy) this might help her but yes it does indeed sound like she's stressing over the change in the household. If she was alpha and has been deposed this might cause her to become depressed. The one thing that you were hoping to avoid, may have happened anyway...but at least you're here to deal with it ciao

Thanks heather! I have some of that, hadn't even thought of it! You just can't do right for wrong can you ? at least this way I've got some time to help her through. The thought of her feeling abandoned kills me. Their all out with me now n she's pestering for treats so hopefully that's a good sign
