I hate making this post but i have no choice work is relocating us and no one will rent to someone with 15 ferrets. We've been trying and instant no has been the answer. No everyone isn't up for adoption unfortunately just the ones we've rescued in the last year. I know members of this forum are suitable ferrents and I want to be able to follow them. These ferrets are raw fed and can join existing businesses no dominance issues.
Renegade and ivy male dark nose sable and ivy white female burgundy eyes with a tan tail she is deaf. Both very sweet and playful they do not bite she is a loud dooker. He is estimated to be around 4 years and her 2 years.
Smokey and bandit male albino and male sable both 2 years old. Very playful they take to new food very well and could switch to whole prey bandit has killed a mouse but he just paraded around with it.
Taz and akiko this pair will need an understanding home I will not sugar coat their behaviour. Taz is a deaf wardy white burgundy eyes grey tip tail she is a Siamese colored sable perfect mask. Taz does have bad genes his teeth were white and pearly in October when we got him even on raw his teeth have aged by 2 years. He can be a bit destructive with potty pads. He is hilarious a very loud doomed and loves to pez head. Akiko is playful but randomly bites like holding her she will nail you. She has bitten me on the nose. Besides the occasional bite she's a super fun ferret. They are estimated to be 1.5 years old now.
Please if anyone has room in Alabama Georgia Florida Mississippi or even Texas where we have to move to these are great ferrets and we'd love to keep them but it just isn't possible we will travel to ensure good homes.

I'm so sorry to hear that you are having to rehome some of them, good luck with it. I'd love a few more but finances, space and of course being over the pond, I can't help.

My heart is breaking for you. I would adopt a pair if I could, I even asked my parents but they said no more ferrets. I guess I'm too far away anyway. I really hope they find good homes.

Well Casper has a loving home they are staying in contact with me until he fully settles he gets to be an only pet which he prefers and free roam all the time. Hopefully they join the forum or I'm going to be asking for pictures.
I never realized how hard it is to find a stable flea free environment for these little guys. I was really hoping our vet would adopt the troublesome pair but he won't return my calls.
Unfortunately all these people in our house have brought fleas in. Ugh it's baths and flea treatments for everyone and bedding washes.
Moving up in the company is exciting they say they have plans for me. All of our family is in Alabama which we haven't told were moving (not supportive of anything) and ferrets have a horrible rep in texas that's why we are having to adopt out. The real estate places said people there let ferrets poo and pee everywhere and left it claimed ferrets leave a smell.

I don't have a Facebook but would like some one post on their behalf I can pm our phone number. I have to use horrid Craig's list. I'm giving people a chance but it's not promising at all.

The couple that took Casper in the mom in law met him and wanted one. She came by today and left with Smokey and bandit. They get to be free roam and will occasional see Casper so that will be good. I made a ferret care book with all the information I could possibly think of. According to the hubby I'm being too pushy I just want them going to good home it was so hard to get them off of kibble and they smell so bad on kibble.

Well, if they want the ferrets then they need to know how to take care of them. Simple as that. Urging them to take care of them correctly isn't being pushy, its being responsible. I'm glad they found homes!

I'm sorry you have to rehome some of your ferrets. You're not being pushy at all! They deserve a home that will being as loving & dedicated as you. I hope you find them great homes.
When I was forced to rehome mine years ago, I made all new ferrents sign a contract that in the event they can no longer care for the ferrets, I want them back (no refunds).
I also asked for vet references, proof of exotic vet, a contract to keep them on the current food I had them on (Orijen cat/kitten, as it was before I went raw), and a package of information & my contact... Because when it comes it my animals I'm a control freak.

It's 6 page booklet. Health problems, life span bonded pairs, their current menu where to buy what brand, how to get rid of fleas, treats nail trimming, teeth and gums, supplies needed, what not to feed and even a kibble section for if it must be fed. There is a lot of references to this website and even the more dooks food chart. I guess it's just a peace of mind thing for me. If I knew which office our vet transferred to that would be in the book too.
Just need a good home for 2 more pairs taz and akiko are going to be the hard ones. I need a really understanding person for both of them. Thanks everyone!

I know what you are going thru. We've been blessed to find a house with a landlord that will accept ferrets. Best of luck with the move.

We are lucky our broker said we could get away with having 1 room of ferrets just not 2. I may have to try to introduce one of the pairs with ranger. I just don't see anyone taking a female that will always randomly bite and a really special boy who is destructive that will need extensive vet care in his life.

I hope it all works out. Tell us how that goes.
(got a female who will bite also--at least she doesn't bring the blood, but move your hand, or she will gnaw on it as long as you keep it there )
