So wisp has been doing absolutely wonderful with her freeze dried food and I've even added a second food because I ran into an almost problem when her food almost ran out before the store got some more in. So anyway, I have noticed that her poop is a little watery but not to the point that it's diarrhea or anything like that. It's just extra watery. I've read that it could be because she needs more bone in her diet and just wanted some opinions about that and could I buy bone meal to help supplement the lack. Other than that, she is in perfect health and I can't get over the change in her coat and the complete lack of odor from her poop. I swear I can put my nose to her litter box and only smell a slightly urine smell. Also, on a second note, she has discovered what fun it is to play in her litter box. I've tried everything to prevent her from throwing her litter everywhere. It doesn't matter if it's dirty or not, she is like a bronking bull and has a blast, but I have to clean it up. And then she gets covered in her poop. Yeah, I know it's disgusting. Maybe it's because I take her outside and let her dig around in the dirt and play, but it's tough because I can't give her a bath every day. So any suggestions on what I can do about this new-found joy she has with playing in her litter?

She's going to produce more urine on raw. Kibble fed ferrets tend to be slightly dehydrated. Are you seeing urine and poop at the same time and thinking her poos are watery or is her poo very loose? She has discovered the joys of digging. You can build her a dig box. Take a container and put in some rice or sand/dirt or leaves or even the cornstarch peanuts. Some ferrents use beans. Here is a link to building a dig box: holisticferret60.proboards.com/thread/10611/first-dig-boxWe're a free roam household. So, with an upstairs and a downstairs and five ferrets, I use puppy pads. I tried litter and had the same issue. They pooped next to the box and then dug thru the litter and made such a mess. Here is a thread for litter box boot camp, that may help you once she has her own dig box: holisticferret60.proboards.com/thread/108/litter-box-boot-

I'm sure it is her poop that's a little watery. And she doesn't have any problems using her litter box, she has just figured out how much fun it is to play in it. And I swear she laughs while watching me have to clean it up. I do take her for walks daily and she discovered how much fun it is to dig because I let her do it outside. I've tried those grate things that go over the litter and is "supposed" to prevent her from digging in it, but her little smart self figured out how to get around it and move it. I love her to death, but she is a handful at times. And she takes great pleasure in doing things that irritate me. But I can't stay mad at that adorable face. And she knows it.

Try a real thin layer of litter. Maybe in time she will quit fooling with it, then increase layer I use paper towels in my litter boxes and I use potty pads too, as they like to go beside potty with only one pooh in it---too clean >

Can you show a picture of the questionable poops? It would be helpful to see them. @poncesmom is right of course though, raw fed have "looser" poops. They should still be mostly formed though. A new food could cause this for a few days also. What is she eating now?

It's a breathy hehehehe sound. They can also bark, hiss, chatter, mutter, grumble, dook, honk and of course, play you. (giggle)

Nei used to play silent, but I dook when I play with her and make the hehehe sound when my hand chases her under objects. Now she is very vocal and dooks like mad. lol

Ok. So she IS laughing at me. Little stinker. So to her, it's a game like with a baby purposefully dropping stuff for you to pick up so they can drop it again. She has a blast doing it. I guess I shouldn't complain because at least she does use her litter box.

Exactly, this is a great game for her. My Ponce would push everything off of any countertops, end tables, nightstands, you name it. His favorite game was to wait until someone left a drink lying around. Paul would come home from work and make a rum and coke. He knew Ponce was waiting but inevitably Paul would turn his head or get up for 'just a second' and Ponce would pounce, over went the drink and he would lean over the table, look at the glass on the floor and laugh :heehee:
Eventually, we took everything off of all the surfaces. Then my Mom would come to visit and say, "you really should put out some pretty things"... (giggle)
