So I made my soupie today.
I weighed her before I started her on this switching process. She weighed 1.3 pounds.
I weighed the food it was 1 oz and she ate a little then I added some water because it was too thick and she lapped up some more. I just had to scruff her twice to get her to eat out of the bowl.
After her ate a little she coughed so I assume she is just getting used to a difderent food/texture.

Her first soupie, Congratulations. I'm not a fan of scruffing for feeding. What works for me, is to sit down next to the plate of soupie. Put her on your lap and have a towel and a small spoon ready. Put her on your lap and gently place one hand under her. Then dab some soupie on her lips and she has to lick it off. Then offer some from the spoon. Don't let her down until she eats some. If she jumps off your lap, go pick her back up and give her some baby talk. Let her know that she's a good girl. When she eats the soup from the spoon, lower the spoon to the plate and let her lick the soup off of the spoon. Sit with her while she eats. The key to success is patience and persistence. It's a lovely bonding time and she will feel closer to you. Nice Job, you're on your way

She was really entergetic so I was trying to get her attention. I will try your way next time. She ate a little but then went to bed so when she wakes up I am going to try her again on the soupie. I also didnt have a coffee grinder for the egg shells so I hand crushed them to the best of my ability.

New update! With the help of poncesmom I did the spoon feeding and it worked so much better. She ate all of her first soupie. It weighed about an ounce before I needed to add water and I forgot to weigh it when I made it to a thick cream.

Also another question just making sure I am doing this correctly. I took her food away 2 hours before I fed her the soupie. That's a good amount of time right? That's what I have read on the forum making sure that's correct.

This is a picture of her poop after 2.2 oz of soupie today. She pooped after I fed her another 1.25 oz. Over all she has eaten 3.5 oz today. Is that good enough for a kit that is aging around 3 to 4 months of age? Another question is when I go to bed should I leave kibble in the cage over night? She hasn't had kibble since about 7 this morning.

Yes taking the kibble away at least 2 hours before ant raw is good. If she is eating the soup on her own, I would not give her any kibble overnight but more soup. 3.5 oz of soup seems alright if she is still eating kibble also. Those poops look pretty normal for a soup during a switch.

She hasn't had any kibble since early this morning. Should she be eating more? Her attention span is that of a person on cocaine and meth all at once. She wants to play all the time so sitting down and eating with me is not as easy.

Haha tell me about it! I just adopted a boy last Friday that is only about 11 weeks old right now, started him right away on the soup and he has not had any kibble since day number 2. He is currently working on figuring out bones. I chop them up really small for him because he bores of eating very quickly. Have you tried to give her anymore soup? When was the the last time she had soup? Does she have it available to her all the time?

She ate at 6:45 pm. It is currently 9:52 here in Colorado I was going to feed her before I went to be. We are going to play then its nighty night time for baby. She just had a watery I mean watery poop like no solid just brownish green water. Excuse my great way of describing things. Also she scratches at her ears a couple times. I have noticed when she first wakes up she getting up and starts shaking her head a ton then scratching then shaking again and then she is fine. Any ideas? its only happened like 3 times.

If the ear thing continues I would take her to the vet to have her checked for mites or infection. I would not let it go too long. How much eggshell or bonemeal are you putting into the Soupie? Is she eating the soup on her own or do you have to feed her?

Okay her ears do have a little bit of build up in them some brown stuff. No a lot but I can see it with her pale ears. Put a half a teaspoon of egg shell in my soupie recipe. I believe she just had another movement and it looks like the above pictures. So I assume she just had an off poop if that's what you want to call it

Ok some ferrets need a bit more eggshell, if she keeps having very watery ones try adding 3/4 tsp. is she eating soup on her own or are you having to feed her? it does sound like it might be mites.
