I was just thinking today, many of you may already know, my beloved Ozzy passed away on the 7th of April last year. We were certain we will take quite a long time before adoptin another ferret, since I was devastated, broke down quite badly... a week after I got a message from a friend telling me that her ferret gave birth to 3 babies exactly on the 7th of April, and that that I should meet them because she is certain there is one of them that is meant for me. We went there when they were about 4 weeks old, and Aramis chose us. He was the smallest of them all, but he came to me right away, licking and chomping. He bit every finger I had. So we fell in love with him. When he grew up,after about a month or so, we went there to pick him up and he came to us right away, climbing on my husband's head:)) climbed all the way on the pants, shirt and up we go:)) it just seemed like an interesting setup.. he was born the exact day my baby passed, and he somehow came to me...

Sometime they send us another one to help with the pain. Enjoy your boy.

That is a wonderful story. It really does seem like sometimes our little ones go up to the Rainbow bridge and then send someone to us. I believe Ozzy sent you Aramis and now Ozzy is happy that you have someone to give all that love that you gave him, to Aramis. I was going to wait awhile after Ponce left us. Barely two months went by and I found myself on Craigslist for the first time. There was Roamy and Juliet, needing us. I knew it was meant to be. I love Shakespeare and Ponce knew how much I was grieving. He found them for us.

I had a friend tell me that for every ferret I lost there would be another to take his/her place, I just needed to open my heart. Her claim is that some ferrets are sent only to complete a task, to find someone to love them (perhaps they had not been loved before). Once they find love and earn their heartkey they journey on. Sometimes, it takes years, sometimes only hours but when they leave they send a message to others that this person was a good person and that another ferret can earn their heartkey with them. Consider it payment for stealing a piece of your heart Consider yourself chosen and your little one is a gift straight from the bridge ciao

I like to think so... your kind words made my eyes all wet, and made me hug my fuzzies a bit more. Aramis is indeed really bonded to me maybe this story is going to help others in times of grief, knowing that there is always someone that will be sent here to ease the pain and to share their love
