He did very well with his morning meal but I think he's got flu... He didn't want to chew so I gave him soup for his pm meal. Just got to keep an eye on this. He's still playful and eating and drinking but a little bit lethargic and is sneezing, runny eyes and the lot. Been having slightly runny, mucousy poops today but not full on liquid diarrhea. I have a feeling he'll recover in a day or two as long as I make sure he gets enough rest... xx

Putting him back on soup is a great idea. It'll keep him hydrated to be able to get healthy.

Definitely. His poops were slightly more normal this morning but the poor baby is so tired! He needs a good lot of sleep. He should be ok though. He ate half his soupie but he's got ages to go back to it so I'm not too concerned. Xx

Much better today. I'm thinking he'll be well enough by tomorrow to go back on slivers. Xx

I'm glad he hasn't lost any weight either. Let me know when things get back on track. For now, I just want you to make sure Leo gets better and we will go back to getting him onto chunks.

I gave him slivers for last night's meal as he was so so much better! He totally devoured them so that's a great sign. Right now he's playing in my room although he should be asleep! But yes seems like he's back to health and is eating and drinking well Xx

Devoured both his meals today too. I haven't tried upping the size yet. Giving him a little time to make sure he's totally ok first.
Oh I also got him Salmon oil today as a "just in case" kind of thing. Gave him a little on my finger. He kind of likes it... Not super excited about it... I don't see much point in giving him oils honestly except when clipping his nails or cleaning his ears xx

Oils are a great reward too! I use oil and treats for training. My two hearing and one of my deafies come to when called or motioned. It's a good tool.

That's true. That's another user for them. Leo woke me up because he wanted to play. He's definitely over the flu. I'm going to the market tomorrow to top up on his meat so I'll try upping the size a bit and this week I'll try him with a little heart and liver maybe... see if I can get him used to the taste xx

Definitely. I had a feeling he would... Don't know why specifically. But he's great today. I think I've made his slivers a bit too big but I'll give him as long as they can be out to eat them. If he doesn't eat them in a few hours I'll put a little bit of oil on the top to see if that'll get him more interested xx

Sometimes a mistake can be the best way to push them.
