They are doing well with the liver and heart. They like it better than the meat! I can't seem to find ANY smaller bone, so I just spend A LOT of money in big chicken wings, only giving them the very tips! Very frustrating No need to worry though, as they are eating it, if it's JUST the tip

That's good.
What meat are you feeding in the am again?

Cool, since your four are being little stubborn butts about bone, why don't we try some other meat and keep them on the chicken wing tips for now. We can try pork, it is a favorite of many favorite or beef or lamb, which ever you want. We will start by mixing 90% chicken, 10% of the new meat and each day just add more of the new meat. We don't want chicken to be a main source of meat for so long. A long exposure can sometimes create a sensitivity and since you are having trouble finding other bone in, we need them to be able to eat chicken.

Ok! Let's say I go with pork: two questions...
1.) What pieces qualify as acceptable?
2.) How long can it be left out as opposed to chicken?

Most pork is fine. I use boneless pork chops a lot or pork stew meat because it's already cut for me. No bacon or ham since they are often cured.
Same amount of time. Depends on the size of the pieces but I find twelve hour is acceptable, especially in the winter, for chunks.

Well, they are officially all pork in the mornings! (except for the hearts and livers... not sure how/if you want me to change that)
Ink prefers the chicken, but gets around to the pork eventually (when there's no more chicken)

Yes fantastic!! Keep them on their heart and organs. Let's give them a few days to adjust to the new change and then let's keep pushing the bone. I want them to be able to crunch through them like beasts!! Lol! Still work on sourcing small animals for bones. You don't want to do whole prey correct?

NO. I personally am a vegetarian and have hamsters myself, so I couldn't bear it But there is a place I am going to check out, it is a little out of the way, but anything for my babes

No worries on the whole prey thing. It is sometimes easier to source it if you are having trouble with finding bone in but it's not for everyone. Let me know if you find anything.

Good... I have been soooo busy with packing and moving to a new place while still doing life stuff! Babies are good... Pork is still not their fav ( they eat it but they wait... But not forever... It's "OKAY") what's next?!
How have you been?

Haha, you can try and see if they like beef or lamb better than pork and switch it up.
I have been good. Busy as well.
