Ah OK I thought I should keep them separated longer, I'll try that They're not eating together, totally separate at the moment.

Eating together can help them form a bond too. It's not always the case from what I've read but it never hurts to try it. You can always separate them if need be. They do sometimes fight over that one piece of food though just to warn you. For some reason even if there are five other pieces they like to pick that one piece that they all must have! You know the rule, no poop, pee or blood no foul I just let mine work out out.

I'll give the feeding thing a try, both mine seem to like to pick at their food over a couple of hours usually, but they seem to love the raw soupie, perhaps I'll put an egg yolk with it, they both love that

Yuki is just beautiful. Congratulations to both of you and to Pinky. Once she accepts Yuki, she will love having a friend. It may take her some time to adjust. Did Yuki have a special friend at her previous home? She may be missing her friend or her previous home. Alot of love and attention can help her feel at home. A ferret in a new place likes to explore. You can use that time to bond with her. Pick her up and show her things. Let her see everything from the sinks running to where some safe hidey holes are. When you put out her food, offer her a piece and show her the fresh water. Let her know that you will be taking care of her and that includes bringing her food and water. Sit on the floor with a blanket and let her explore under it and around it. Let her come to you and smell you. Give her a soft little touch that let's her know you are there. Pinky was there first and she will want Yuki to know that. She'll be ready to play before Yuki will. My Roamy doesn't like it when I bring anyone new home. So, I make sure that he gets the first hug and the first bite of food. I let him know that he is my special boy. Of course, Juliet rules the roost. But Roamy is sensitive. Community treats are a great idea. Let them share the raw soupie and egg from the same plate. If they don't want to share, offer up two plates and let them eat at the same time, while facing each other. You might try washing their bedding so it smells the same. You can also give them a warm water bath, one at a time, so their smells are the same. If someone poops, they're truly frightened. Stop the intro and wait a little while. At some point, they have to work it out together. If Pinky gets too aggressive and draws blood, put her in a time out carrier for two minutes. Use a stern voice and say "No Bite". Pinky is not deaf if I remember right. Expect it to take some time. Just like us, some friendships take longer to develop. It will be fun hearing how they work it all out and I look forward to hearing about your first snuggle or kiss from Yuki.

I guess she probably did have a special friend, but the rescue we went to wasn't like the adoption centre we got pinky from. Pinky was on her own there (they were kept in their bonded businesses) but Yuki was in large enclosure with about 8 other Jill's. I've been worried about her missing her buddies The man there never mentioned her having a friend, it almost seemed he didn't actually want to lose any of them. There's some great ideas there, thank you very much indeed I will be trying everything I'll keep updating with our progress!

Gave them a communal treat of raw soupie watered down so it took a little more effort The fighting calmed way down afterwards too Pinky is asserting her dominance and Yuki is yielding, and Pinky is beginning to understand Yuki's hiss means she's had enough and Pinky wanders off to do something else

After today's soupie together Pinky actually started licking Yuki's neck and ears a little Yuki didn't seem to notice as she was licking the saucer clean They had a bit of a fight and Yuki backed herself into a corner. I made a fuss of pinky away from Yuki so she could calm down a little and make her own way out of the corner. Once I'd got her playing again I let Pinky back down, there was some squealing and hissing but then they just went their own ways In the end they were out together for over 2 hours with no more than a few squabbles They're still not friends yet but there were plenty of interactions that didn't end up in fighting I really think we made some progress today

Fingers crossed Not quite as good today, they surprised each other, had a fight but Yuki backed into a corner and didn't want to come out again. Pinky followed her in after a while but Yuki was just a hissy ball of fluff. Better luck later hopefully

She is adorable. I love albinos They will get there. It will just take time. Me too I've found my self looking at pictures of 'bino boys d*mn ferret math  one step at a time though I think things are going well still, its mainly hissing and squabbles and just occasional fights. Pinky is happy to go off and do her own thing when Yuki isn't in the mood and Yuki isn't trying to hide so much. They were both in the same cardboard box for a few minutes without even a hiss from Yuki earlier All of a sudden something will really set them off, but I'm sure its happening less frequently already!
