the last one I picked up was $25 for 10ml compounded liquid.
I just ordered 85ml for $47 from Arizona.
What are you guys paying for compounded liquid?

I use pills at $20 a bottle (25 pills). That's 100 doses for Wilma. As far as I know the drug is cheap. It's the compounding that makes the price go up.

How do you dose the pills accurately.
I had her on pills at first, but we had to cut the pills into 8ths. once you get past 1/4s the pills just turn to powder when you try and cut them
I found them really difficult to get an accurate dose.
I found mixing it into 1 Teaspoon of food worked well for hiding the taste.
If I was sure I could get an accurate dose I would use the tablets.
Perhaps once we find the dose that works for her It may be a 1/4 pill and it might be doable. Right now I am in the proccess of finding the correct dose to get her BG up to where we want it. right now we are at .25ml and her Bg is at 60.

Her dose is a quarter of a pill so it's not to bad using a pill cutter. You are totally correct though, liquid is easier to control in odd amounts. Like I said I think the drug is pretty cheap (liquid or pill) but it's the compounding that makes the price go up. You might see if you get a straight, non-flavoured liquid (might be cheaper?) and add it to food like the pills.

This is through a Pet Pharmacy in Arizona. Specifically told them no sweeteners. They are compounding with chicken flavor.
I was just wondering if someone has a less expensive place to get it from.
At her current does an 85ml bottle will be 283 doses (just over 4 months). Hopefully it wont expire by then. So $47 for over 4 months I don't think that is that bad.

That's actually cheaper than what I pay for Wilma ($20 for 100 doses via pill). Mind you. with her only getting it once every 5 days, that's over a year of doses

what BG are you targeting with her.
Ellie is at 60 and she seems fine, But our vet would like to see it above 80
I think I need to way her comfort with her BG and find a happy medium. If the meds start giving negative side effects in the amount to get her BG above 80 I may want to leave it lower for her comfort.
