Very exhausted, after the hospital called me at 11 last night I crashed for about 13 hours. Waiting for them to update me, he was responding to stimuli last night (wasn't when I brought him in), he's on supportive care fluids right now, he had terrible diarrhea(force fed him a bit and kept giving him water even though he stopped drinking after a while). His stools have some what become formed again, better than what I showed the doctor and he had a lot of gas in his stomach and intestines, that has went down as of last night. They've been x-raying him to keep checking the gas issue. He's my first ferret and I've had him 90% of his life, I'll do everything in my power to make him feel better.

Hi under the tail is normal its rats tail as others have stated ( some ferrets loose all the fur on the tail others only loose it on the underside ) the missing fur on her rear will probably be from shedding sandies ( you call them cinnamons ) are known for dropping there fur big time lol I know with my sandies and silvers I can pluck the winter coat off in ten mins flat they go from big fluffy balls to anorexic flat coats in a day lol as long as she is active and eating I would simply keep an eye on it try grooming her to stimulate hair growth and to remove any dead hair helping her to get her new coat in quicker and prevent hairballs hope this helps take care bye for now bev

Thank you for the link, that is extremely helpful to see the varying hairloss. And my boy is doing better, still not 100%, but if he's doing ok on the meds they gave him, he comes home tonight. This momma sure does miss him. ❤

And yes, she's very active, the rice all over the floor this morning from the dig box is proof. Here's the best picture I could get of her tail.

Here's some more photos I could get. I moved her fur in the previously uploaded photo, so the bald skin could be seen. It's on the base of her tail, but on the left side. It's the thinnest there and now some on her back in the center looks like it's thinning too. I could be over worrying because of other things going on, but my others don't have any hair loss in that area. She's still active (trying to steal my chapstick now), but it's something I'm definitely keeping an eye on.

To be honest I would take her in and have a des implant done.

I'm thinking that I will. I pick up my boy today from the hospital and have to take him to my primary care vet, so she'll come in with me. My boy is her snugglebuddy, I'm sure she'll be happy to see him, even if it's through another pet carrier. Thanks for the help.

Looks exactly like Rolo's hair loss when he was diagnosed adrenal.

I was hoping she wasn't going adrenal. The rescue I got her from knows and guarantees their health. So, if there's any operations, implants, etc, they will cover it.

Just got a response from the Rescue I got my girls from, they've looked over the pictures of my little cinnamon girl Chiquita's hair loss and they want to make her an appointment for a possible surgery, or an implant. Looks like she is going adrenal like I suspected. That could definitely be a big part of why Ladikin attacked her every chance she got.
