I don't know if you are a visual learner or not, but this is what I did to help me: Looking at it everyday helped. Later, I found a small whiteboard and posted it on my fridge. At dinnertime, I pick up their breakfast plates, put their dinner out and then glance at the whiteboard and pull out their breakfast to defrost in the fridge. In the morning, I pick up their dinner plates, put out their breakfast and pull out their dinner to defrost. You're in the medical field, so you know about handwashing and such, especially when dealing with raw food. I use a red plastic cutting board that is for ferrets only and so are the knives that I use. They have their own food processor and magic bullet. Everything is washed and then sanitized in the dishwasher, just to be safe. It all gets simpler as you go along and find little ways to make meal prep easier.

I'm not great at taking compliments (although I'm trying to improve) but it's not all natural! I taught piano for a number of years, took pedagogy classes (related to piano-teaching), have tutored Math, Science and English, and also taught kickboxing. If you can get a 7-year-old boy to sit still for 45 minutes, you can basically do anything!
Also @poncesmom, have you considered making that info a sticky thread? I know we have a whole bunch of documents (collectively) containing that information, but that is a nice, condensed version located in a single place.

I'll check with Gina and see if she minds if we sticky it. Funny isn't it, how hard it is take compliments. Then someone says something mean and that's all we remember.

Thank goodness for Fuzzers! Panda woke me up because she wanted to play so she started licking my face. And if she wouldn't have, I wouldve slept in and been late for work! Best kind of alarm clock.

Well... Panda is back on blockage protocol.. She has pieces of flip flop in her poop, and I found one of my flip flops in her hidey hole.. I'm sure one of my roommates used them and didn't put them back in my shoe holder. She seems ok so far, no change in energy levels or anything, and her overnight litter box is full of poops with shoe pieces so she's passed some of the pieces fine so far... I'm not sure she's a ferret. I think she's a goat. She keeps trying to eat everything... xnx Luckily she gobbles down Vaseline and pumpkin no problem.
I'm praying that this works... I'm short on money this month.. But I'm going to call my vet and ask them about a payment plan just in case...

That's tough! If she's making big pumpkin-shoe poops, then she's probably going to be fine (of course it can't hurt to know your vet's policy for the future).
I would suggest doing regular checks on her hidey hole(s). Even though it sounds like you dodged the bullet this time, the blockage protocol isn't good for them. Vaseline especially, it coats the insides of their digestive tracts and prevents them from being able to absorb nutrients for a few days.

I check it every time they're out. My roommate came in and played with them after I went to work and told me she wore my shoes to take out the garbage. Panda is still playing and eating and drinking so she's probably okay..

Panda doesn't enjoy the shower curtain hooks lol. She's trying so hard to pull the meat off of them so she can go hide it. Good news is she still has her voracious appetite. She's pooping big poops too so I think we're ok.

I'm like.. 99% sure that Pandas ok but I have Ferrant anxiety because I'm at work and my partner isn't there to check on her in case something does go wrong. 3 and a half hours left on my shift...

I hate that feeling. Don't worry though, she'll be perfectly happy and healthy and will be excited to see you when you get home!

So the power went out when I was at work.. I need a better freezer because all of my babies food spoiled... I have just enough money to feed them until I get paid again.. I wish they were like college students and could live off of Ramen and pizza xnx

Noooooo! Usually a freezer is insulated enough that the meat will only thaw slowly. Ferrets can eat meat that's been thawed and refrozen because freezerburn doesn't harm them or anything.
That super sucks though. (Sorry, I'm not being very helpful, but I definitely feel for you!)

A www that's awefull! Most freezers can go without power for 2 hours before things start to thaw. Was everything actually warm? You are. Or having good luck with their food between your roommate throwing it out and this! (headwall) hopefully this will be the last snafu for you!

I had a mini fridge that gets REALLY cold at max temp that I started using after the whole 'throwing out' incident. It kept everything frozen solid, but the thing isn't insulated very well I guess..
