A week ago I made a very concerned post about the female (Stella) I had just adopted on craigslist and how my male was relentlessly bullying her/stressing her out. I was worried about her health. I'm happy to say that things are definitely looking up. Her ears are no longer stressing her out (ear mites are toast!) and her and my boy (Francis) seem to be getting used to each other. There is still the usual dominating behaviour from Francis, but the aggression level has definitely decreased. I have even seen a bit of play and a couple war-dances from Stella! Even though she is still VERY slow in general.. I am still questioning her age. I haven't been able to get a decent teeth picture, because the medicine was stressful enough for her. Now that she's done with the meds, I will try to get a picture of her teeth! Anyways, last night was the first night that I didn't put her in her own bedroom for sleep time. To my delight, I woke up this morning to see that Francis has gracefully moved over and allowed Stella to spend the night in his "special hiding spot" (in my bottom drawer in my bedroom.) Of course there was a bit of squabbling, but eventually they relaxed and spent the whole night together! I took them out to play this morning and 2 hours later, they are back in the hiding spot together, sound asleep!! I guess he figured that sharing his spot with her was a better alternative than giving it up all together... I'm such a proud mommy (dance) I'll attach a picture in my next post
