Brody is a 12 week old deaf, blaze marked, hob kit. I made him a few soups and he took right to chunks. He ate an entire chicken thigh yesterday. So not much trouble getting him to eat but I need to learn the science of it all. I have a very educated and scientific mind so I'm hoping I get this stuff with some guidance. I will weigh him when I get home later and still need to figure out pictures but for the most part just wanted to get this started.

Congratulations on Brody. Is he your first ferret? You have what we call a Tummy with Teeth. He will eat alot for the next few months. He has not imprinted on any food yet, so getting him eating a natural diet should be easy. There is alot of info on the Home Page under Natural Diet. You can also sign up for a Mentor. There is usually a waiting list, but you can build your own switching thread (which you did) and all of the Mentors will pop in and offer advice. Are you using the soupie recipe from the forum? It's nutritionally complete and will be a good starter food. At his age, he will eat anything but he needs to build up some jaw strength to tackle bones. Do you plan on feeding Whole Prey or the Frankenprey menu? We love pictures, especially of babies...pretty please.

We cross posted. Brody is too cute for words. What a handsome little fellow. I would love to have a blaze. My husband thinks five is enough. Foolish man (headwall)
