ok first night here,
I am refusing to feed them kibble. They were on Evo.
1st attempt feeding soup, scruff n stuff. Gypsy was licking it off the finger, Al just ran off licking what we put in his mouth.
2nd attempt 3 hours later, Al started to lick it of of the finger, Gypsy is taking a lick and running off.
they are not slinging it out of their mouth, so that is good.
I actually may be able to get rid of the soup that has been in the freezer since switching Koufos and Cassia over to raw 9 months ago.

Do ferrets seem to care if raw soup is fresh or frozen? Even if it stays frozen it must eventually decrease in palatability?

Yes, I have heard that. I did not name them just adopted them. If they did not respond to their name I would be totally open to changing it. Perhaps I can change it to a name that sounds like it and they would still respond. I am not too thrilled with the name Al either. I guess short for albino. not very inventive the person that named them.

Theyre both beautiful.. How many does that make?
My precious Alice was called Al a lot, among other permutations of her name.

don't Worry uncle Joe still two short of your Business. LOL
I was thinking of changing his name to OWL. Sounds really close, I bet he would not even notice.
Now for a name that rhymes with gypsy.
Al will be my first albino. He is really spunky and already gets into a lot of trouble, He also has a little quirk that Hammie had. He would nip me right on the soft spot on the back of the knee when he wants Attention.
Hammie used to crawl into my bed when I would not wake up and do that. He also would do that if I was doing something and he wanted my attention.
day 2 and Al is already doing that.

Maybe little Gypsy was a stripper in a past life and msav is paying homage to Gypsy Rose Lee

doing a little research last night. The term gypsy simply means wanderer. I would only think this would be derogatory if a person was called a gypsy and did not like it. Since this is a ferret I don't think she minds the name.
Like almost every derogatory word, it is all in the context that it is used in.
Then again words have different meaning for different cultures and geographical areas.
I don't see how people can take offense to a word if I do not use it toward them. But seems people are getting too sensitive these days. As if there is not enough things in this world to get in an upheaval about.
