So I was wondering what are typically 'popular' toys among fuzzbutts. I know they're all different but I'm sure there's at least some sort of a general consensus. My first pair seemed to delight in stealing the dogs' soft toys. My current pair prefers balls with bells in them. What do YOUR fuzzbutts like to play with?

Korra loves to stash her soft toys, she's got loads of the smaller ones. Some are dog toys, some are for cats (checked they didn't contain catnip), some are the tiny ones from Ikea that are really cheap. One of her favourites is a donut dog toy that I got from Pets at Home, it was only £1 and she loves it. I went back to get her a few more incase it got lost (she often stashes them really random places) but they no longer had them -_-The boys completely ignore them and if they go near where Korra has stashed them she quickly tells them in simple terms 'go away'. When I was getting ready to bring them home everyone recommended a cat teaser toy, Bolin will play with this a little bit, by laying on his back and batting at it with his paws and occasionally shaking it in his mouth but none of them chase it or get excited when it comes out. The other two actually completely ignore it. All three of them like tunnels, they hand out in them and run through them. I've got a range of different ones and try to connect some and move them around often to keep them interested. The ball pools, rice boxes and other dig boxes are usually a great hit with most ferrets, all 3 of mine get a little giddy while in them. If we go near we will be pounced on. My ferrets don't really play with each other, so we get the brunt of it. Hammocks are a hit with my 3 but there are some ferrets that just don't seem to know how to use them. Other things to hide in and sleep in are popular from a simple blanket or a cardboard box to hanging pirate beds or cat trees (need to be safe and not too high, ferrets+heights=danger) and everything inbetween. Mine don't really chase anything, so balls (even the ones with bells in) are completely ignored. A mouse tied to a piece of string gets them moving though, although that's more dinner than a toy.

Yeah neither of ours seem to get the concept of new hammocks unless we personally put them in there a few times/they fall into them when climbing the bars of the cage. Neither of mine like to chase all that much, although Murphy will do it with a cat toy and the ball if I toss it or wiggle it in front of him. Mostly he likes to grab it and either pull or shake it. Axle doesn't really care very much for either toy. For the most part they go their separate ways, run and dook and war dance at each other for a minute or two, then continue going their separate ways. I'm noticing mine really like getting into the cubby we he have for shoes! I'm thinking some more hidey holes would probably be a good idea and I wanna try tunnels and a dig box

Mine kind of like little packages of things that r in plastic. My senior ran off with a roller nap that was in its plastic package-----it wasn't a sponge nap. I cant find it as of yet. My little Buddy(DIP) ran across the room stopping only long enough to pick up a colored pencil(i had a pile on the floor). He knew he was being a bad boy stealing my pencils. Senior likes collecting bras--she will put them in a corner and go to sleep near them sometimes. I think mine would rather you entertain them than entertain themselves . I dont mind posting this because it is blurry

Sunny loves when I chase him, while Katie prefers chasing me. Both of them get excited when I flip them over and tickle their tummies. They will run through the tunnels when they are chasing each other and they stash all sorts of stuff in them, but they will never explore the tunnels much on their own. Both of them like the old shirt dig box I made them, but mostly to sleep in. They like teaser toys, Katie more than Sunny, and Sunny will attack a stuffy if I toss it near him. They also love being misted with water from a spray bottle, they will try to get as close as they can to the nozzle and drink the water as I spray it. Oddly enough, they HATE swimming or being dunked in water. I should try balls, can they have golf balls? I live right near a golf course, so my yard is infested with golf balls.

Empty paper and plastic bags, empty boxes, crinkly packing paper, stuffed toys, jingly plastic balls, cat teasers are the top favorites here.

Every ferret should have a Derby Egg.
The best toys for ferrets seem to be
cardboard box, tissue paper, Plastic/bags, paper bags, stuffed animals.
or better yet a cardboard box filled with tissue paper, plastic bags and stuffed animals.
and did I mention Derby eggs.

thecrochetedferret.com/DebyEggHistory.htmI also think you can find them on etsy.com www.etsy.com/listing/86864026/ferret-shakey-egg-toy-large?ref=sr_gallery_1&ga_search_query=crochet+ferret+toys&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=galleryor you can make your own Ferret Crochet Toy Pattern 3: Egg Covers Small Plastic Egg Cover Materials Needed: Hook, size H 4-ply yarn Rnd 1: Ch 2, 5 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Do not join, but continue working in unjoined rounds throughout. Rnd 2: Working in back loop only throughout, 2 sc in each sc around. (10 sc) Rnd 3: * 2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc, repeat from * around. (15 sc) Rnds 4 through 6: Sc in each sc around. (15 sc each rnd) Rnd 7: *Dec over next 2 sc, sc in next sc, repeat from * around. (10 sc) Rnd 8: Partial Rnd: *(Dec over next 2 sc) twice, sc in sc, sl st in next sc. Fasten off leaving 4” of yarn. Finishing: To make a removable cover, weave end of yarn loosely through stitches of last rnd. Then crocheted cover can be removed for laundry purposes, or to change items inside egg to make different sounds. To make this into a permanent cover, place bell inside plastic egg, slip egg into crocheted cover, and with yarn end in a yarn needle, weave end of yarn in sts of last rnd, pull tight and secure. Regular Plastic Egg Cover Materials Needed: Hook, size H 4-ply yarn Rnd 1: Ch 2, 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Do not join, but continue working in unjoined rounds throughout. Rnd 2: Working in back loop only throughout, 2 sc in each sc around. (12 sc) Rnd 3: * 2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc, repeat from * around. (18 sc) Rnds 4 through 7: Sc in each sc around. (18 sc each rnd) Rnd 8: * Dec over next 2 sc, sc in next sc, repeat from * around. (12 sc) Rnd 9: * Dec over next 2 sc, sc in next sc, repeat from * around, sl st in next sc. (9 sc and 1 sl st) Fasten off leaving 4” of yarn. Finishing: Same as for Small Egg Cover Making these covers so that you can remove the plastic egg has several advantages. They can be laundered. If a plastic egg breaks, it can be replaced. You can change the items inside the eggs to give them different sounds and feelings. Several grains of old-fashioned long-cooking rice, a large jingle bell, a marble, several small pebbles — all give different feelings and sounds to the eggs. For your cat or kitten, a small fabric pouch of catnip might be tucked inside an egg.

Be careful with soft toys or derby eggs. I have one that will obsessively chew Derby Eggs until she destroys them. It wasn't worth the money ordering them just to have her kill them in a few days.

Gwin generally ends up preferring garbage to toys. He likes shoe boxes, and large mailing tubes he uses as tunnels, and his most favourite toy are my slippers. However out of all the things I've bought him, he loves the marshall octopus a lot. He usually sleeps in it, which always looks really funny. I also recycle old jeans by cutting the legs off and letting him use them as tunnels - he sleeps in those too.

None of mine have been fabric chewers, thank goodness. I can watch my ferrets for hours stashing derby eggs. one thinks they belong in the tube the other thinks they belong in their hidey hole. they will go back and forth with about 5 derby eggs taking them from one spot while the other takes them from the other spot.
I guess ferrets cant count cause they both think they have an unlimited supply of derby eggs stashed.
and none of mine (going on 8 so far) have really been thieves, they don't stash personal items like socks, keys, ect.
they will play with my shoes and slippers but they don't steal them and stash them
