So, I am surprised at my babies today. I have had them on soupie (no kibble, not even crumbs) for two days now, with no complaints! They are eating it all on their own! I also gave them the wings off of my cornish hen that I had for dinner, and they seemed to have eaten everything, bones included! I am so proud of my babies right now, I cannot express myself. My adrenal boy also seems to have gotten his energy up the past two days and is acting more like himself! This, right here, is one happy mommy

They are all now begging for me to feed them and completely emptying their bowl! I am so proud ^.^

That is so exciting!! I wish my girls were that eager! If their bowl is consistently empty make sure to feed them more! Fuzzies tend to eat a lot on their first few weeks of raw, most people think it's because their bodies are trying to make up for the lack of nutrients they were getting on kibble. CGH bones are a great starter because they're smaller and softer than chicken. (I'm assuming you took them off before you cooked it for dinner )

I definitely have noticed that they are eating more than I thought they should. (And yes, haha, they were raw!). I cannot believe that this is so easy. One of my girls has started begging! It's so cute! And she is the first one to the bowl when I fill it!

You're doing so well and so are the little ones. Nice Job. As Celene mentioned, just make sure that the bones are raw and not cooked. Cooked bones may splinter.
How many ounces are they eating? If they are emptying the bowl, they can probably eat a little more.

I dint know the exact ounces, but I split the soupie about even into 6 portions. I used 3lbs of chicken beast as a starting point. Not 100% sure how many ounces that is. They are going through a bag every 2-3 days. They weren't emptying the bowl at first, but now they are!

Very good. One thing to remember is that they're going to consume more for the first few weeks to months as their bodies try and make up for lost nutrients ciao

So I left just under 5 ounces of raw in their bowl for the night. Going to try to keep track of how much they are eating, because it does seem like a lot. Going to go take a picture when I get home from work to kinda see what everything looks like through their raw transition. Yay ^.^ Thank you everyone!

So, it turns out that they are eating between 4 1/2 ounces and 5 ounces every 12 or so hours. Is that normal?

5 oz between 5 ferrets twice a day? That's about 2 oz each a day on average. My girls eat about 1.5 oz each a day, although they are fairly small and dainty. Boys will eat a lot more. Ferrets also tend to eat a lot more the first few weeks of switching as they are making up for the nutrition they didn't get from kibble. It's difficult to tell who's eating what, so it's possible some of your fuzzies are pigging out and others are eating the bare minimum. Just weigh them all regularly. If any are losing weight try to feed them extra individually. Ferrets will usually eat more if hand fed

Definitely! I've seen everyone eat, and ur Durant adjust anyone's list weight. Haven't figured out how to get them to be weighed yet . . . Tried and so far failed!

I use a small kitchen scale and hold an eyedropper of salmon oil to lick while they're sitting there so they don't move.

I keep my salmon oil in a bottle similar to the one below. It allows me to only dispense a very small amount at a time (which is all they need) and not have to touch it either
